This is a problem for China, for now, but it’s going to be a nightmare for the West sooner or later.
China do not necessarily need to catch up at the higher end of chip manufacturing, if they can master the technology at the lower & mid tier sections of chip manufacturing, then these Western companies would be losing billions as China would be buying local. Consequently, it will affect how much they can spend on R&D
The west has been taking advantage of the developing nations for too long. I can’t wait for China to invent better technology at a cheaper price, it will be great news to the world.
