   1. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,

      بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
      The Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it: “Be!” – and it is. [Al-Baqarah 2:117]

      لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ
      He cannot be questioned as to what He does, while they will be questioned. [Al-Anbiyaa’ 21:23]

      يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِهِ عِلْمًا
      He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them (in the Hereafter) but they will never encompass anything of His Knowledge. [Ta-Ha 20:110]

      وَمَا أُوتِيتُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
      And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little. [Al-Israa’ 17:85]

      فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ
      Yet behold he (i.e. man) (stands forth) as an open opponent. [Ya-Sin 36:77]

      أَن رَّآهُ اسْتَغْنَىٰ
      Because he considers himself self-sufficient. [Al-‘Alaq 96:7]

      يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
      He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! [Al-Humaza 104:3]

      لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْا عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا
      Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride. [Al-Furqaan 25:21]

      حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذَتِ الْأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَا أَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَتَاهَا أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَصِيدًا كَأَن لَّمْ تَغْنَ بِالْأَمْسِ
      Until when the earth is clad in its adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! [Yunus 10:24]

      وَإِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ
      And when harm touches men, they cry sincerely only to their Lord (alone), turning to Him in repentance; but when He gives them a taste of His Mercy, behold, a party of them associates partners in worship with their Lord.

      لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ
      So as to be ungrateful for the graces which We have bestowed on them. Then enjoy (your short life); but you will come to know. [Ar-Rum 30:33-34]

      فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَرِحُوا بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ الْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
      Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things). And that which they used to mock at surrounded them (i.e. the punishment). [Ghaafir 40:83]

      وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ لِيُهْلِكَ الْقُرَىٰ بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا مُصْلِحُونَ
      And your Lord would never destroy the towns wrongfully, while their people were right-doers. [Hud 11:117]

      إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ ۖ وَإِن تَكُ حَسَنَةً يُضَاعِفْهَا وَيُؤْتِ مِن لَّدُنْهُ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
      Verily! Allah wrongs not even of the weight of an atom, but if there is any good (done), He doubles it, and gives from Him a great reward. [An-Nisaa’ 4:40]

      ذَ‌ٰلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُم بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالُوا أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا
      That is their recompense, because they denied Our Ayat (Signs) and said: “When we are bones and fragments, shall we really be raised up as a new creation?” [Al-Israa’ 17:98]

      لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَـٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَـٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
      “Indeed this (i.e. being resurrected for the Day of Judgement) we have been promised – we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!” [Al-Mu’minun 23:83]

      قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ
      We know that which the earth takes of them (their disintegrated bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). [Qaf 50:4]

      وَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
      And they followed the command of every proud obstinate (oppressor of the truth as their leaders). [Hud 11:59]

      وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَلَدًا ۗ سُبْحَانَهُ ۚ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ
      And they say: “The Most Gracious has begotten a son.” Exalted be He above all imperfection! They [whom they call children of Allah i.e. the Malãa’ikah (angels), Jesus son of Mary, ‘Uzair (Ezra) عليهم السلام] are but honoured servants (of Allah). [Al-Anbiyaa’ 21:26]

      فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي أَيَّامٍ نَّحِسَاتٍ لِّنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَىٰ ۖ وَهُمْ لَا يُنصَرُونَ
      So We sent upon them a furious wind in days of evil omen (for them) that We might give them a taste of disgracing torment in this present worldly life. But surely the torment of the Hereafter will be more disgracing, and they will never be helped. [Fussilat 41:16]

      أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ
      Or do you feel secure that He who is over the heaven, will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning. [Al-Mulk 67:17]

      كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ
      (They) belied all Our Ayat (Signs), so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, the All-Capable. [Al-Qamar 54:42]

      إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ
      Verily, We sent upon them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity. [Al-Qamar 54:19]

      تُدَمِّرُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا لَا يُرَىٰ إِلَّا مَسَاكِنُهُمْ ۚ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
      Destroying everything by the Command of its Lord! So they became such that nothing could be seen except their dwellings! Thus do We recompense the people who are Mujrimun (polytheist disbelievers)! [Al-Ahqaaf 46:26]

      فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةً بِمَا ظَلَمُوا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَ‌ٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ
      These are their houses in utter ruin, for they did wrong (polytheism and disbelief of the Hereafter). Verily in this is indeed an Ayah (Sign) for people who know. [An-Naml 27:52]

      وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن ظَلَمُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَا أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ آلِهَتُهُمُ الَّتِي يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِن شَيْءٍ لَّمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ
      We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. So their gods other than Allah whom they invoked (worshipped), benefitted them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they (i.e. their false gods) add aught to them except destruction.

      وَكَذَ‌ٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَىٰ وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ
      Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) the towns while they are doing wrong (polytheism and disbelief of the Hereafter). Verily, His Seizure is painful, (and) severe. [Hud 11:101-102]
