Of course Iran will say it did nothing wrong. There is absolutely no evidence that the Chevron ship acted aggressively or illegally.
What’s a tanker gonna do to a combat ready destroyer anyway.
A tanker can’t act aggressively they have no weapons. A tanker are slow ships and have poor maneuverability. They require tug boats to dock them. Shipping usually stay clear of tankers when they are in shipping lanes of risk getting hit. They are so big and massive that it takes miles for them to come to a stop.
Perhaps consider sending the Iranian navy to the bottom of the sea.
That would be great.

Syria is on the Mediterranean. These could have been from Iraq, Kuwait, etc.

This is old news NBC, and also lacks the proper context as usual.
I served in the US Navy, and was shocked at how many Oil tankers we protect. When I got out of the military I put solar on my house and bought a Tesla. We need to get off of foreign oil and use less. We can’t completely get away from it but if we just use it just for manufacturing, that would be Amazing

they might not have the same level of funding as we do, but they have one of the only militaries in the world that have both a conventional and asymmetric element to it. you thought ied’s and rpg’s from militia where bad? trying fighing a conventional war to your front with elite units in your back field armed with real antivehicle mines and tow missiles at the same time as you are trying to chase down a conventional army who has a huge advantageous countryside to string you out across…and thats if you could find some place in the region to base from in the first place (and you wont now).
