Guatemala will hold national elections on Sunday.
Experts have warned that the next administration will need to take urgent action to handle a malnutrition crisis among the country’s poorest communities.
Analysts and local groups have said corruption is one of the driving forces behind worsening poverty and has led to waste while government assistance programmes fall short.
