It’s getting harder and harder to scoop up the little “evidence” there are to paint a gigantic company like Huawei black. To me, all the accusations on Huawei sound trivial and eventually degenerate into a series of isolated and barren conceits after they are repeated again and again to achieve “volume”. The interpretation of these few incidences of Huawei’s past “mischiefs” also appear forced, unconvincing and far fetched.

China meritocracy system of elect and select has ensured the most dedicated, talented and capable leader to be elected. Sub-standard leader like Bush and Trump will never reach the provincial level let alone become President in China.
In China all top leaders have gone through provincial training as provicial governor for as least 2 terms, meaning they have managed provinces with more than 100 millions population before promoted to national leader. Only the top performers will be promoted and the selection is very competitive. Therefore all national leaders are well trained and with proven track records. There is no way a sub-standard leader will be selected as national leader let alone become the President.

What I got from this portion of the interview was that Hauwei really does not need the US but would prefer to continue to do business with everyone including the US, it will not cut off it’s nose to spite it’s face. This man Ren Zhengfei is a thousand time smarter and a thousand times richer than Trump, that is totally clear to me.
@O7 don’t lie to yourself boy. Everyone knows that China robotics and Labour are fast, efficient and cost effective. Not in a single country could compete with them in term of hardwork and efficient. Wanna move away from China? Sure you can, make sure you will have enough reserve fund to bear with the profit lost in other country. So what Vietnam India or other Asian country are cheap? Can they deliver the same efficiency? If those countries could do it, China won’t be the fastest economy and technology growth in history.
Zen Stup that’s the thing; it will take a few years for these countries to offer comparable conditions for American companies that they’re used to in China — but I definitely believe that it can and will happen. Samsung has already moved a considerable amount of resources to India. Likewise, automation will decrease the total production costs and will allow for these companies like Apple to potentially manufacture in America while maintaining similar profit margins.

Huawei is the world’s ONLY company that offers to sign “No-spy, No-backdoor” aggreement. Other companies (Google, Ericcson, Nokia, Samsung) are very scared and refused to do the same, because of huge potential consequences if they violate the agreement.
