He took that money and built a studio in the back of the store, started driving around selling tapes out the truck of his car. He paid to make the movie I’m Bout It. He drove around selling it from the trunk of his car for $10 a pop, said he sold 500,000 of them. When he got his famous distribution deal, he turned down a million dollars cash, took no money up front, but gave the distribution company 200k out of his pocket to help finance No Limit Records. P was something before anyone even knew who he was, so he had no problems getting out the hood. He could’ve easily played in the stock market long ago but he chooses not to because he has no passion for it. He likes to do what he’s passionate about.
