Man it’s so sucky. How do we write laws that are fair even.
Anything to prevent abuse by landlords seem to enable abuse by tenants. And lack of these laws result in landlords abusing tenants.
People just lost their dang dignity.
Honest landlords get screwed and innocent tenants get abused.
He’s not going through an eviction. He’s putting someone else through eviction. The courts are there for the landlords. I’ve never even heard of this actually happening. The only source are these landlords.

This is why you need to be careful where you buy property for Rentals. General rule. Buy in red states not blue.
Never take a tenancy, then dont buy the house/appartment, cause if they have a lease, you cant kick them out, till the lease is up.

In this case it’s hard to do much without being caught.
Like you can’t pad lock the door because it’s obvious somebody pad locked it (even if it can’t be proven it’s you, the police are gonna cut it off).
And now more unscrupulous people know a few more tricks to jack the system.

Most people I knew that owned properties and rent as landlords were some of the scummiest people on the planet. Past tense. It was a reflection of their character and they sure as hell aren’t around me anymore.

If you have a close family member “sell” the property to them for a dollar and transfer the title to them. Tenancy won’t carry over without a renegotiation of initial deposit and payments. If there is no record of payments and the title is under someone new its really hard to prove there is a deposit on file and allows you to skirt some laws to evict very quickly

You can’t kick someone out simply because you want to sell the property. Problem tenants are problem tenants that is why we have rental ledgers with tenant history. Review it before you make the decision to purchase.
An eviction on record more or less permanently removes a person’s ability to rent, almost always dooming them to some level of homelessness.
A tenant resisting an eviction is inflicting a minor inconvenience on an obscenely wealthy person whose wealth comes from doing literally nothing.
It’s certainly _possible_ in theory for a tenant to be in the wrong, but “he missed a month of rent so I’m evicting” is the same story as “he used a sentence with a split infinitive so I stabbed him and left him to bleed in a ditch”.
What money did these twenty-year-olds inherit to afford to own homes that they don’t live in?
Or are they just pandering to the jobless landlords?

You understand you are entirely unnecessary to the economy, right? What you are is no better than a leach or a feudal tax man. You do not build the houses, you barely maintain them (and even then, you are often not the one doing the actual repairing and maintaining). All you do is artificially restrict the availability of housing and land. Sure, there are some laws benefitting “bad tenants” but the entire system benefits a class of leaches

Oh that’s not cool, that last statement. I was renting when my landlord sold the house with no notice to me and then I get evicted from the new owner for no reason other than existing. I was faithful in my payments and my upkeep. I can appreciate why he’d say that but it’s not ok.

I have never had a problem with eviction notices. My friend John takes care of all that BS. A strong baseball bat, a hammer and crowbar always get the job done. Why wait on the courts?
