In Lebanon, fears are growing of war with Israel as hundreds of residents near the border are already sheltering or fleeing cross-border attacks.
Lebanon’s population of 6 million may be “used to” war, as one Beirut resident told Al Jazeera, but the escalating conflict comes as the country is still recovering from recent economic turmoil.
According to Hezbollah, three of the Lebanese Shia group’s members were killed by Israeli shelling on Monday. An Israeli deputy commander and two Palestinian fighters in southern Lebanon have also died in the cross-border violence.

Lebanon will kick their arses again, like the last time they invaded. The IDF were defeated by mere militias, meaning that if they meet actual soldiers, they will panic and shoot each other even worse than they did in front of the Hezbullah.
This is because the IDF is so used to only “fighting” unarmed civilians, that they cannot cope with irregular troops, they will therefore suffer another defeat if they try to invade again. This is a significant difference from the 1980s, when the IDF were able to invade Lebanon and stay there in occupation, using the Maronites as their puppets, which they also can’t do again this time.
