Injured Palestinians and foreign nationals will be allowed to pass through the Rafah border crossing into Egypt after Qatar helped mediate a deal to allow passage. NBC News’ Kelly Cobiella reports on the conditions of the limited evacuation and the large-scale Israeli attack on the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza.

#Rafah #Egypt #Gaza
I am so ashamed of my country.
Feel free to leave. I hear Ukraine is nice. Perhaps Gaza?
@ST7A Bad Karma Thanks for the advice, but if you don’t mind, I’ll stay here and try to convince my fellow citizens that supporting genocide and ethnic cleansing is not something we ought to encourage.
…If that’s OK with you, of course.
All were doing is creating next generation of people who hate America and Israel this want never end
Oh Egypt finally wants to help their fellow Muslims or maybe 100 or so . How bad do you have to be that your other Muslim brothers don’t want to take you.
Q se pudr Israel
This border crossing is only for several hundred people, many of whom are not even Palestinian.
There are 1.5 million displaced people in Gaza. It is disgusting to frame this story as anything else than a distraction from the war crimes of the IDF.
What does Hamas get in return? How many of 500 Americans help by Hamas were freed?
About time why did it take so long
As soon as the civilians are evacuated out, the protesters won’t have anything to cry about.
Oh thank goodness
All foreign dual citizens should have left weeks ago. Terrible situation. Worse tho is Hamas sezing and hording supplies.
The Muslim nations are pretty quick to show solidarity for violence they commit, but not so quick to help each other when they need humanitarian aid.
It’s not a refugee camp. It’s what every other place on earth calls “low income housing.” A refugee camp doesn’t have multiple concrete apartment buildings, nor do people live in it for generations. Refugee camps are temporary. They certainly aren’t used for 60 years.
It funny when people are yelling how mighty Israel military is. When in fact it isn’t even top 10 in the GFP. They are in 18on the list. This explains why hlthe terrorists got the drop on them ….
The Biden administration is good at opening border crossings. They got lots of experience right here, by opening our southern border and keeping it open!
So ironic that Exodus records the children of Israel leave Egypt and now Israel’s enemies leave through Egypt. I have heard that they are going through Eagle Pass. I wonder if the descendants of the Edomites will let them through. Esau sure did not help Jacob on his journey. That is what Obadiah is about. And Edom or Idumea was destroyed as a result. Herod, too.
A month in that rubble .
What goes out don’t come back in
Interesting to me that it’s Hamas who gets to approve/deny who can leave the conflict zone. So are they in fact Gaza’s civilian authority?
Interesting to me that it’s Israel who gets to approve/deny what can enter into Gaza in terms of water, electricity, fuel, and who can enter and leave into Israel. And then building a wall all around Gaza because as you know “those Gazans children are human animals”. So are they in fact Gaza’s civilian authority?
Hamas was elected by Palestinians to be the representative government in Gaza since 2006. You’re finally catching on.
@ST7A Bad Karma I’m a slow learner, I guess. I also guess that the electorate is then in some sense not as innocent as I thought before.
This is total BS. Egypt and Israel control that border. Hamas does not decide anything. That is 100% false.
And the last election in Gaza was in 2006. That’s 17 years ago. Most of the current population was not old enough to vote then. Not to mention, that Hamas was funded by Netanyahu in that election. You are just ignoring so much here!
Not to mention all the human rights violations done onto the Gaza Strip by Israel. Y’all are crazy.
Or just paid trolls. That helps me sleep better. But who knows.
Israel is an apartheid fascist state that encourages violent extremism amongst Palestinians by providing them no other recourse. The moment a true diplomatic option is available for the Palestinian people, Hamas becomes irrelevant.
But that doesn’t happen. Because Israel always chooses war. It makes America’s post-9/11 response look diplomatic.
It is essential for Israel to uphold its standing as a haven for Jews from across the globe, lest they feel the need to retreat to their nations of origin.
