Solar and wind are not “energy security” they are an add-on. Germany, who has the largest economy in the EU, has proven that the current technology that is solar and wind CANNOT produce even close to enough electricity to meet demand. Atomic Energy is the only way but you will not see Atomic because it is very inexpensive once it is up and running and the rich people who control global energy do not like this. They like oil, coal and gas…buy, burn, buy more. I mean, why do you think the US navy is sitting in the Persian Gulf at this very moment? But the Inflation Reduction Act does have provisions that support fossil fuel producers. It requires the US Dept. of Interior to lease 2 million acres in federal lands onshore and 60 million acres offshore each year for oil and gas development.
If the leases aren’t in Alaska or the gulf of Mexico, they are leasing dry wells .
