@Red Bee That’s what Russia is doing since the beginning of the war actually, first they wanted to take over Kyiv and topple the government, occupy whole southern Ukraine and link up with Transnistria, after failing to break through the defenses in Kyiv and Mykolaiv they retreated, later retreated from Kharkiv and Kherson… and now they would readily settle for Luhansk and Donetsk which they don’t even control in their entirety.
