Wow I have lived in the United States for about nine years and I never had a turkey or any Thanksgiving meal for this year for this week in 2023. I really want to have a Thanksgiving meal. Can anybody tell me how that is possible please reply

Go to a local church for their Thanksgiving potluck ! LOTS and LOTS of local churches do this! Bring anything ! Even rolls will do !
There are some restaurants that serve a traditional thanksgiving dinner. If you were around me you could eat with my family!
Of the fast foods franchises the closest that comes to offering Thanksgiving fare would be Boston Market.
Local diners may offer Thanksgiving meals because that is what goes for the holiday season.
I think what makes a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is turkey, cranberries, dressing or stuffing, and pumpkin pie. And don’t forget the gravy.
Some may claim green bean casserole is traditional but I think that was introduced as a marketing ploy by the Campbell Soup company and it stuck in American psyche. The same could be said of the turkey too, a bird unique to North America. In previous times other foods may have been served as the main dish. The rest are the usual dinner dishes.
You may find that each family or the different ethnic groups in the US would give their own slant to the meal in the manner the turkey and stuffing is prepared or what side dishes are included.
Of course, the most important ingredients in Thanksgiving are to express gratitude and in sharing with others.

I stopped buying cranberry sauce several years ago because they started using high fructose corn syrup. I love cranberry sauce but it’s s easy to make it myself with better ingredients.
