Sec diokno one of the best technocrats.
He corrupted the National ID project.
Filipino Economic Managers are The BEST! 😍
Thumps up Phillipines
focus on customs. and permits so investors can easily export or import their products. bir too. and philippines should avoid so.much regulation on businesses. i dont think a good corp will engage in illegal drug business. streamline procedures on infra. requirements.
Spending 5% to 6% of gdp for infrastructure is the right move.Actually,it is the most ambitious in all of Asia. It is not without risk but is still manageable.Diokno is a technocrat of the first rank.
because we are behind in Asia in infrastructure so they need to spend more to catch up, agriculture needs to be improved cost of food in the PHilippines is high compared to peer neighbors. electric rate is too high, need to find other source for energy to lower the cost.
@@noeminoemi1350 you are on point. Catching up through investing in infrastructure is the right way to go.
6% lang napakaliit, paano papasok ang mga investor. Mahiya kayo, tapos gusto maraming turista papasok. Puro blah2. Mag resign na kayo kurakot kayo, 6% ano ba yan!
6% of the country’s GDP is already a risky move. It seems like you don’t even know how to budget your allowance. Would you like to put most of your salary just for house development? What about your food, transportation, house bills, education, etc? Don’t blame the national government if your roads are damaged. That shows how incompetent your local government is. We are a democratic country, why not report that officials? Or why keep on putting corrupt officials?
@pinoyrock4090 you clearly dont know what you are talking about
I think China is putting 4.5-5 percentage of their GDP into infrastructure. There is no country on earth right now that spend more in infrastructure than China except the Philippines. I think you better inform yourself before you open your mouth and blame the current government.
as if you could do better
I have been living in the Philippines the last year or so. I have traveled to over sixty countries in the last 25 years. This country has the WORST infrastructure of any of them. Especially, in asia. You guys need to seriously upgrade everything!!! It’s so old and shitty. While you are at it. Teach the people how to be better employees. I have never seen or experienced such levels of incompetence and laziness as I have here. Hot women and the real reason why people come here. But you guys are far behind everyone else.

infrastructure is one of the most valuable economic drivers a country can have. i wish the us would put this energy into our infrastructure
on point!
agri. iba culture aa mindanao. 😄
President BBM is doing his best to make this country stronger and better 💪🏼🙏🇵🇭
copper mining and industries is the best for the philippines ..sana itaas din ang royalties..EVs needs more that ever copper…
we should spend 2 percent in defence 10 percent in infra! instead most of it going to the pockets of the corrupts !
Education eat the most in the national budget yet we can’t really see improvement with our schools. Only a bunch of kids wasting their time on TikTok

Freight train should be developed to prevent inflation due to low fares for transport of food
Meaning : “It ain’t much, we could do better but just be thankful we’re still growing, it could’ve been worse”.
Diokno is on Point 1st on the Iron Ore demand since we are in digitalized and technological world now, 2nd on tourism sector which has been very lagged.. Thailand has 39million visitors/yr while PH has 11million. I was also shocked since we have by far the best beaches islands in the world. Previous Admins Cabinet members are sitting duck. 3rd Might as well this PBBM must focus un Celebes SEA and Sulu Sea Basin, and Liguasham Marsh all are in Mindanao.. We could tap trillion dollar worth of LNG and Oil. That the Previous admins failed to realized.
I think manufacturing sector should be more focused on. Tourism doesn’t do much. Look at Thailand it has a lot of tourists but it’s GDP only grows 2%.
Thailand’s appeal to westerners are mostly based on Oriental architecture, familiar food and sex-oriented entertainment. Do we want to resuscitate Subic Bay and Balibago entertainment?
Diokno just lied in this video. Infrastructure spending already reached 4% of GDP in 2015 and was scheduled to be raised further to almost 5% in 2016 (Not 2% as Diokno claimed) and it was on a clear upward trend. Even before Diokno the target of the government was to raise it to 5% of GDP and they were already making progress every year. He is just credit grabbing. He came in when the government was already about to reach it’s 5% target and he is now trying to show that he was responsible for it. LOL! The 2% of GDP figure he was referring to was all the way back in GMA’s term, 6 years before Diokno was appointed Secretary of Budget and Management!
He even corrupted the National ID project.
Thank God, we have technocrats like Ben Diokno, etc. who manages our economy well. We don’t want to be a replica of Venezuela, Lebanon or Zimbabwe.
In my opinion, why indonesia’s infrastructure program is so successful is because they focused first on Java island, making sure every cent spent is properly going to the project, cracking down on corruption through open tenders, only now after 10 years, after java’s economy is starting to show return on investment are they shifting their focus to sumatra and borneo. Likewise, philipinnes can focus on Luzon first before mindanao and visayas
That’s where the term “Imperial Manila” comes from… Most of the projects where put on Luzon that the other regions are complaining with some groups outright rebelling due to the perceived inequality… While developing the city is important, it is also important to build roads on the hinterlands to foster a sense of inclusiveness and develop the local economy…

Philippines has the best economic team even during the previous administration what I like during Duterte term he’s ecomomic team managed to stabilize the price of goods everything was stable and we didn’t experience inflation during Duterte term not until he’s last few months in the office because of the Russia- Ukraine war we experienced inflation but he’s economic team are the best even during the Pandemic everything in the Philippines was stable , PBBM economic team are also good, . The previous administration also done a Massive spending on infrastructure.
Problem in the Philippines is still need more energy like electricity, water supply and The stupid internet
