Second was a newer car in a completely different location about 20 miles away.

Yeah, we get those flood events this time of year.
Don’t worry this time a nine hundred dollar check will be in the mail by Christmas
Well I don’t live on the Seattle side of the state I live on the opposite side on the peninsula. And it’s been raining everyday last night it rained pretty hard.
And it might rain for a while then stop and then continue the rain and then maybe some light rain and then maybe some heavy rain. But it’s the people who live near the rivers that really have a bad time when we get so much rain and it’s actually not even winter yet.
However the temps are basically maybe 50 55°. And I hate the snow I don’t like to drive in the snow because the people here don’t know how to deal with it they think they can drive 80 on black ice so I will take this rain.
Does everyone be careful
This report is a little bit over blown IMO I live very close to the Skyhomish river and it’s close to flood stage but I’ve seen much much worse here.
You had at least 1 photo of Tillamook Oregon in your report, not just Washington state.
Yeah, they do that all the time. Such BS!
But we’re in a drought
Just because there is some rain and snow melt dosnt mean there isn’t a problem with ongoing droughts, of course there will be moisture in the winter lol then watch this summer as it’s bone dry up here and nothing but forest fires everywhere.
Good grief, it happens every year.

I live in the PNW and have not heard of this. The rain is not unusual here, stop the sensationalism.
Flooding one tiny area from a downpour…..🤔
I want everyone to remember that this is the kind of rain you can expect in Washington and Oregon. The next time you think you might want to move to the Pacific Northwest, ask yourself how wet you can stand to be.
It doesn’t rain all year round and it doesn’t rain this hard all the time either. Summers are beautiful and spring is mild.
@@bubbalo3388 Are you aware that it is forbidden for locals to speak well of the Pacific Northwest? Hush your mouth!
It rains 24/7/365, trees fall on everyone all the time, there are rabid beavers, tweekers on every corner, no flush toilets and everyone has halitosis. It’s no good, I tell you. Stay far away!
Wish we could keep the Californians out. They’re ruining it up here sadly
No. This is not what you can expect. If it was expected people wouldn’t build where they are going to get flooded out. It is unusual.
@@nsbd90now The only thing unusual about this series of storms is the temperature swings. We’ve already had one rain-on-snow event, and we may get one more. That’s unusual. Very heavy rain in the late fall/early winter is not abnormal. Persistent rain from October to June is not abnormal. Annual rainfall amounts in excess of 40 inches is not abnormal for places west of the Cascade Range. Annual rainfall amounts in excess of 100 inches is not abnormal for places west of the Coast Range
The PNW is wet. Very wet. The rainiest places in the lower 48 are in Washington and Oregon. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you it isn’t wet in the PNW because they’re lying to you.
The worst is yet to come…… ain’t that the truth
What will it takes for us to do something? Are we waiting that every cities are under water? We are in it and nothing seems to happen with those criminals doing crime against humanity with their oil.
Yeah, it’s raining oil….
People committing negatively on some flooding in Washington and saying why would anyone move there? Well these extreme rain events only happen once in a while in Washington unlike California which has wild fires, earthquakes and drought. The east coast has hurricanes, freezing winters with snow storms, extreme hot temperatures. The midwest has tornadoes and flooding. And on top of all that, these places generally get hit with these acts of nature pretty much every year with at least one if not all.
The PNW has rain also poor job prospects, depression, no growth. Native of OR I left and never had the desire to move back. While Seattle and Portland get all the press the reality is that outside the metro areas the populace is low income and heavily dependent on transfer payments.
It’s not too bad ..
Biden voters. Throwaways.
Had one of the driest summers, so now we get some much needed precipitation to keep our beautiful forests flourishing, so what else is news?
And it spillls over a little. 😏 Oooh scary😮. Price you pay for beautiful waterfront property in a gorgeous location.
I live in Florida and the beaches erode in bad storms. The houses are built on shifting dunes, but somehow that cost to ‘rebuild’ falls on everyone.
Then they charge us to park at our beaches to pay for their million dollar houses.
Just a little rant there, sorry. 😏
Snow in hawaii. These storms. I call weaponized water. Green agenda. Nwo
It’s been raining in Western WA, yes. But nothing to get all shook up about. Happens every winter. If you don’t live next to a river (most people don’t) then nothing to get worried over.
Do you know if in Elmer or Chutakawa ‘sp’ WA. is flooding or not? Have family there can’t reach. thanks
Go ahead and make more massive parking lots … build more concrete channels … do everything you possibly can to stop water from being able to soak into the ground … cut back any soil holding and water retaining vegetation (yes. Nice, grassy lawns are almost as bad as asphalt) … then complain when you get some unusually high rainfall.
i just said that!😏
Then read your comment. Exactly! Here in Florida, too. It’s horrible.
🌌🛸🦥👹💨💨💨AVE saint for 🌊🌪️🌊🌊🌎🌌
I think any kind of waterfront property will start going cheap-nobody will be able to afford or get insurance
Florida doesn’t seem to be learning. They keep rebuilding and building new crao all along the coast on shifting dunes. DUH. THEN complaining they can’t get insured.
Pineapple Express is a notoriously rainy strain of weather.
Water……falling from the sky. Be afraid.😅
Lots and lots of water.
This country is facing multiple major threats at once, that’s what collapses a nation. We aren’t doing enough to protect our own nation. We are too busy helping Ukraine, Israel, while we are getting attacked. Yet at home, illegal immigrants are entering by the 10s of thousands weekly, major weather events, and a congress that is screaming at each other and nothing is getting done. I’ve never seen this country in such disarray. We have weak and old frail leadership, a congress that can’t work together and a president that has over a 50% disapproval rating. Why anyone would enter this country illegally is beyond me. This is a failing nation, and without change we are going to see even more disasters from all fronts.
We need climate change efforts to increase, stop illegal immigration, and then we can help ukraine and Israel. We need to protect our homeland before over extending ourselves overseas. This America last policy is failing this nation.
Climate change! 🤣🤣
Silly rabbit. You’ve been lied to.
It’s a weather front, it has nothing to do with politics or their policies. What does immigration have to do with flooding in Washington State?😅

I live in North Seattle and have been in the Northwest my entire life (Grew up in Portland). It’s been steady raining, but this video overdramatizes things. I feel like I see this kind of rain this time of year here at least at least once a year every year. Totally understand some other areas might be getting hit harder, but as normal the news overdramatizes.
Born and raised in Seattle. (1954) Every year is the same story. Yes, it rains in Washington. Yes, the rain makes the rivers dangerous. The interviews with people in the flood basin most likely are new to the state. They build their dream homes right in the path of these torrents. What’s a mother to do?

Yet they do nothing to really prepare for this new norm. They could have built more channels to redirect the water to a reservoir. Updated existing systems to help mitigate the flooding. So many ways they can mitigate flooding… yet all they do is whine about it and let it happen and allow millions to be displaced and millions in damage. Then go whine to the fed’s for money.

“On the brink of disaster”… Nah. This is nothing. Those being flooded at the moment know they live in a regular flood zone. These flood events happen regularly. The timing of the flooding is causing added inconvenience. That’s the price residents pay for their less expensive raised homes.
Rain? In the Seattle area? Unheard of.
Lol, let me guess, global warming, climate change 🤣
Earth is shifting back to a glaciation period as it has for millions of years. We need to stop the “climate change” insanity and prepare for colder weather. Shorter crop seasons.

It’s literally normal winter weather.
That’s why I like watching the local news here in Western Washington. They don’t hype it up as much as these out-of-towners.
The pacific north west is so beautiful.
I’m surprised they didn’t throw in that climate change agenda crap. Rains like this happen pretty much every year there.
Oh nooooo it’s raining in the North West?! Would’ve never known. Take the train if you can and get rain gear. Problem solved 😂
I used to live in the PNW, moved away because of the rainy dark days, too many in my opinion. Beautiful place though. I dont miss that weather. Summers are nice or should I say were nice, the annual forest fires kind of ruined that.

“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. Welp…. we’ve been crying and moaning for more rain since we apparently didnt get enough last year. we got it now at least XD
Been in tacoma all my life. Feels pretty normal to me. Only idiots have a problem with it.
I don’t know why people CONTINUE to drive into deeply flooded roads. SERIOUSLY. SERIOUSLY 😢😢😢
Yes it Rains in Pacific NW. sometimes it rains really hard. That’s really not news to those of us who have lived here for any length of time.
They acting like Hurricane Katrina hit the state lol
Lets ee who is in crisis due to floods. Idiots that buy homes on flood plains. And idiots that drive past ROAD CLOSED signs. BTW I have no empathy for people who say they are trapped in the Carnation Valley area(roughly 30 miles east of Seattle). It floods every year out there. Either move or stock your pantry with food for the winer/flood months.
The good thing about the heavy rain is it puts out the fires in the homeless camps in Seattle. Maybe those loons will get the idea to move to sunny California where Gavin gives loons more free stuff.
9,000,000 people under flood alerts! There are only 7 million people in Washington and only a small portion live in areas that are affected. I’ve only seen a little water over one road and I drove right through it. 9 million people… please!
Climate change or a judgement on Lefties? Both sound equally credible.
