Stock market outlook: Investors shouldn’t be on autopilot in 2024: Truist Co-CIO

Investors are gearing up for 2024 and trying to figure out how to allocate their investments. Truist Co-Chief Investment Officer Keith Lerner joins Yahoo Finance Live anchors Seana Smith and Brad Smith to provide insight on what investors should consider doing with their portfolios.
Lerner advises investors to be prepared to “shift within the market” depending on what economic data shows. So what sort of catalysts should investors be looking for to make a shift? Lerner says to look to see what the market oversold or overbought, earnings trends, and relative price strength. If two out of those three things are moving in a certain direction, that would “lead us to change our position,” Lerner says.
