Authorities say a woman from Boston was killed in a shark attack while paddle boarding near the Sandals resort in Nassau, Bahamas. Her death comes after a mother died after sustaining a shark bite while playing with her 5-year-old son on a beach in Melaque, Mexico.

#Bahamas #Shark #Tourist
It’s not paddle boarding. It’s mimicking the shape and movement of a shark’s preferred prey.
And it looks very peaceful. You never know.
😳
Don’t go in the ocean
Reminds me of Jaws , get out of the water ‼️
That’s exactly my point ! If we know shark’s are in the ocean why are people taking chances by going in it. Me personally I DO NOT go in the ocean for that reason
Or swim faster.
Don’t be so stupid, sharks can swim at a speed of 25 – 60 mph if they wanted, you really think a person can out swim that?
Paddle boarders look like sea lions swimming on the surface to a shark below them..
In that case!?! She gone!!!
The seal from the Bahamas
@@seanthe100 Right? The seal comparison would make sense paddleboarding in Northern California, Australia, or South Africa. Last time I checked Great Whites are not common in the Bahamas.
Sea Lion then.. jesus christ guys…
The Caribbean doesn’t have large seal/sea lion populations. None of you live by the ocean?
Even sharks ‘ate Americans! Who or what next is going to pick on these poor people.
We already know the Ancient Reptile Aliens are out to get them. Whizzin’ around, pervin’ on the US population and I might add always when they can’t find their phones.
maybe try not overfishing in these areas, if the natural prey is there for the the sharks these incedents wouldnt happen as much.
I watched Jaws, i know not to go into shark territory.
😅exactly
Chief Brody told us for years to “stay out of the water “‼️‼️‼️
Heard that theme as I read your comment!😂😂💪😎
It’s not the shark’s fault. Stop encroaching on their environment. Stop overfishing
That’s rediculous. This is humanities planner also. Sharks don’t have special rights over the areas of this planet. No one does actually.
Why don’t you tell that to China (China being said in trumps voice)
Bla bla typical comment smh
American white meat 🥩 is a delicacy in the Caribbean,God created pools for a reason people
She’s Mexican lol
@@helenmartinez2500 ok then, sharks are color blind but they know 🥩 when they see it 😂 😂 sharksgiving is a holiday for sharks 😂
@@helenmartinez2500Louis CK is Mexican. 🤷🏻♂️
@@helenmartinez2500she’s from Boston dude
Bruh, Sharks gotta eat.
If people will just try to educate themselves with nature, there’s plenty of material and videos out there. It’s cold season around the world. Even in tropical countries. The Earth is further from the sun during these -ber months. So the fishes, aquatic life and sharks…migrate.
Never make yourself look like a top water bait.
Sandals Resort!
Even on vacation u gotta stay alert.
In my opinion you should never swim in water unless you are very familiar with what creatures live in it. In the ocean you would have little to no idea, many dangerous sea creature can travel thousands of miles.
These incidents are extremely rare
@@Edgarto156not lately
@@Edgarto156tell that to the men who were aboard the USS Indianapolis. Tell them shark attacks are rare.
Exactly, nonsense.
@@Edgarto156 Yes but it’s better to never swim in the ocean. For example you might never get into a car accident for your entire life, but it’s smart to wear a seatbelt anyway, same with never swimming in the ocean. The only time I would swim is if there’s lots of people in the water or if I have a weapon to defend my self from dangerous sea animals like a spear.
I wonder if they have a shark net protecting shallow beach. Just curious.
That’s a negative!!! But thanks for asking!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I heard the shark was on vacation ~ I hope this incident involving a human didn’t ruin it’s dream trip to the Bahamas.
😁😁😁😁😁😁
It’s the period blood
Bad idea
What’s vacation?
shark eats its prey. nothing special
Native Bahamians don’t swim in these shark infested waters. They think the tourists are fools.
Bahamians try not to swim 🏊♀️ that far out because it’s very dangerous.
Geez who know sharks lived in the water and like to eat too.
😂😂😅💪😎
Stay tf out of the ocean is my motto 🤷🏾♂️. Only place i want to swim is a pool. Prayers and condolences to all those affected by the death of this woman.
pools have their own unique set of dangers. appx 400 people die per year in pools and hot tubs. facts are more important than senseless fear.
I love the ocean, but I’ll stick with the jersey shore. They always lie to tourist in the Caribbean telling them there are no sharks.
The probability is tiny that you will ever be attacked, but it exists.
Was out there smelling like a good ham sandwich
Swim faster next time.
🤡🤡
Have the shark extradited to the United States immediately
Sounds like a bull shark ! Prayers for her family so sad to hear
Agree, bull shark.
They hand feed bull sharks at a resort over there.
How do you even know?
Likely a tiger shark
Keep getting news about Bahamas and nobody going to care?
Why stupid people in America not know shark in bahama? Like come on??
I hate sharks.
Bull shark?
A mile out! I live by a beach. There is no way I would go that far out on a board for any reason!
Was thinking the same thing…to be that far out on a little board is honestly dangerous for a host of reasons. I was in a kayak in Mexico when a whale came up not far from us, and we were super close to the shore for even that.
@@steffnic13 wow that is scary! Bahamas has so many species of sharks. I have swam in the Bahamas, but close to the shore. You’re taking a chance every time you’re in their territory, but that was really risky going that far out!
The irony here is humans protects sharks by keeping them off of our dinner menus only to become on their dinner menu.
No irony there. If we didn’t protect sharks they would quickly go endangered and extinct. Just cuz an animal is “dangerous” to humans doesn’t mean they don’t deserve conservation protection
🤪
Sharks are full of mercury. Eat them if you want.
@@somnuswaltz5586 Did I advocate for sharks to go extinct? We eat a variety of things in the ocean such as snapper, tuna, salmon, and among others and none of them are endangered or extinct.
All the sofa ninjas counseling fear vs wise choices.
Sofa ninjas are alive , she isn’t…
@@theo_D_E_N Doubt it with all that cholesterol and lack of exercise
@Footielad560 , everyone has the right to choose how to die… she chose the shark and they choose the sofa : )
Stay out of the Bahamas ! They and the sharks hate us
May you rest in peace. 🙏 My sincere sympathies to the family. 💝
No point going in does water , 99% chance of u getting eaten alive
Everyone from the Lucifer show locked up yetand thomas Ellis and his wives. Child predator s practiceing stuff they don t understand theyneed to be in prison
RIP. 3/4 of a mile is insane
My condolences but You wouldnt catch me 3/4 of a mile out with my arms /legs in the water . Were they surfing? Call me a whimp but even going to the local beach , I see no need to go past my chest to cool off. These people that wade out over their heads ..why? When i was in Hawaii, I talked to some local islander women and asked if they swim in the ocean thinking its no big deal to them , growing up on a island and all. They said …No……SHARKS!!! 😅
RIP to both victims. ❤😢❤😢❤
Deep, deep ocean right off Sandals, shark habitat of course, tourist needed better restriction closer to shore, was 3/4 mile off beach when attacked, a Life Guard monitoring issue, not a shark issue.
Tiger shark breeding grounds & a mile outbid insanity. I won’t even paddle boarding, canoe or kayak where we live due to sharks & gators. Prey confusion is real.
Climate Destruction (‘change’) is heating the oceans which kills off small feed for tuna etc., sharks’ food, so now, hungrier they are combing in further to beaches – glum, but us anthro’s are wrecking their own life sphere.
Its crazy how no one is investigating if safety precautions were used like overhead surveillance, shark watch or did they notice the shark before people start paddle boarding. I know when I was on vacation i noticed a man struggling to get back to shore while sail boating, i had to inform the resort employee the man is over 2miles out and once he clear the shore line of the island he will be taken out to sea. We need to investigate why wasn’t shark watch in place when they knew of recent shark attacks.
I’m not sure there were any recent attacks there.
I live in The Bahamas and I agree that there should be a shark watch on all of our beaches where a lot of people go to swim, especially near resorts.
My dads friend saw this play out they brought the body right next to him fsr
I know im supposed to feel bad for the woman, but paddleboarding almost a mile out in the ocean? Why? Why that far? Darwin award nominee and winner 🤷♂️
My condolences to the victim and families. However, I wish the statistics were explained in a different manner. They stated that 3 people died from a shark attack in the Bahamas in the last decade. Roughly 7 million tourists visit the Bahamas yearly. Thus, 3 out of 70 million people died in the Bahamas from a shark attack in the last 10 years. This means the chances from being a victim of a deadly shark attack is close to nul. In 2021 in the US, 42, 939 people died in motor vehicle crashes. This means roughly 1 person out of 10,000 died from a motor vehicle crash in the US in 2021. Fear the road, not sharks.
My God prayers up for both families that loss loved ones. Wooow that poor baby.
Don’t provoke sharks.
Precisely why I’ve decided to stay out of the oceans. Only under God’s Kingdom where animals would be docile will you find me swimming.
Paddle boarding almost a mile from shore? Very foolish.
Baby shark do do do 🎵
I TRULY FEEL VERY SORRY BUT, WE HUMAN BEINGS HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT, THE OCEAN IS NOT OURS THE OCEAN IS THE FISH’S NATURAL HABITAT. WE HUMANS HAVE TO UNDERSTAND ONE FOR ALL THAT, GOING TO THE OCEAN WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL OR NOT GO AT ALL. THE SHARK IS NOT GUILT!!!
🙏🏽💐🕊💐🙏🏽
Note to self..no swimming in the Bahamas..just go to Barbados 😉
Sharks travel everywhere 😅
Animals have been acting strange these past few years. Stay out of the waters
Humans are the worst

one mile out into ocean on paddle board?? im not even taking my 16 foot boat that far 😮
What a horrific way to go. My heart breaks for her and her family. I wouldn’t wish that ending on even my enemies. To be attacked and ripped apart while alive is just …I can’t even imagine. I just hope it was a quick death for her. 😢 May she go to a better place, and may time heal her family’s hearts. Sometimes we have to be in the right place and the right time because it’s our time to go, unfortunately we all can’t pass on peacefully for some reason.
That’s so sad,They should know area is safe or not,why ???They don’t give warning to Tourist people,it’s shame 😒😒😒
It’s the ocean every debt of it is dangerous once you enter their domain
@@rickwalters5066 You are absolutely right, that is the reason I don’t like swimming in the ocean,I like lake safer than ocean !!!!

They hand feed the sharks at these resorts in the Bahamas bull sharks. That’s a very bad idea.
Bro i Literally going to Bahamas in 7 days
Why did y’all show them putting her body in the car
You want to go into the water, your taking a risk. Its their domain. Also doesnt help that there are likely irresponsible practises by alot of local shark tourist companies that take you out scuba diving or shark watching.
Bahamian officials looked so sad. It’s bad press, but there is nothing they can do. It wasn’t like they were shot in a gift shop robbery or something. It’s the ocean.
This is not faer
