A sham tribunal in favor of England decided the creation of this arbitrary country, Guyana, which has no connection to South American rather than being a former British and Dutch slave plantation in which British attempted a country to the destabilize the then Spanish empire and then the newly founded independent republics. Guyana is an independent nation representing the first people of the land. This is why we have a native name, we also have indigenous symbolism like the presidential seal native crown, golden arrowhead flag and national dish. Venezuela isn’t Grand Columbia or Spain, but the Essequibo belongs to all of our nation and citizens as they own land and hold territory, Not Venezuela.

@@munty192 The International Court of Justice (ICJ). The Geneva Agreement (1966) between Venezuela and Guyana did not nullify the 1899 Award. What it sought to do is to find a mechanism for negotiations between the two countries, and if negotiations fail, then the United Nations Secretary General decides how the dispute will be resolved. In 2018, the UNSG chose the ICJ as the appropriate body for this purpose. Now Venezuela is saying it does not recognise the ICJ, effectively walking back the apparatus agreed to by them via the Geneva Agreement.
