Wildlife officials released five gray wolves onto public land in Grand County, Colorado, as part of a voter-approved reintroduction program to help restore populations of the apex predators into rural areas.

Yeah. But let’s take everyone’s guns. Meanwhile, we’ll create wild wolf populations.
Aight
They sure are beautiful.
Agreed. And so are all of the baby foals, calves and lambs that these wolves are going to take down.
Make a nice rug 😂
@@upnatm2The state is overrun by unguents (elk, nonnative moose, etc.) to the point where the vegetation has changed to impact many species we share the world with
@@nature3361 And how are you going to ensure that the wolves only hunt an “overpopulation” of elk and not domestic livestock and pets?
@@nature3361 And can you cite your source to this overpopulation? I’m from Colorado, and there’s been a massive die off of antelope, elk and deer – so much so that Colorado Parks and Wildlife made dramatic cuts to the number of big game hunting licenses.
Oh geez, what could go wrong.
Nothing, just leave them be. Wolves have been running those lands for thousands of years until a bunch of wacko Europeans with guns arrived and nearly drove them into extinction
Sweet beejeebies. Is this the fifth time you’ve posted this same, lame comment? LOL

Free food for them
That’s sooooooooooooo stupid?! Why would you want to reintroduce a wolf back when they’re gone for the better?! That’s like reintroducing sharks back into a beach area. This is really really dumb. Just because it’s the “natural” thing to do doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do.
Not nearly as stupid as your comment.
They are vital to the ecosystem. Stay out of their territory and you won’t have a problem. Same with sharks. If you were meant to be in the ocean, you’d have flippers.
I think we need to remove the humans from the wolve habitat. There are too many humans because they breed like rodents, but too few wolves which are the nobler creature of the two.
❤❤❤❤❤❤@@teksight9714
Wrong in every way. The wolf is vital to a healthy ecosystem. Check out reintroducing wolves to Yellowstone. “The big bad wolf” is a myth created by ranchers losing profits to the wolves that belong in nature. Cows are not a natural occurrence. Their for profit by humans only
Coming up after the break; – 2 hikers are killed and eaten by wolves.
oh well. stay out of their home
Ecosystem is more important than 2 randomly selected people out of a population of millions.
Healthy wolves don’t eat nor attack people
Good a man lives in the wilderness not a tree park with tame deer.

Unbeknownst to the public these are actually werewolves.
Bad idea!
How is it a bad idea
WHY?????
And I’ll be you didn’t look into why after leaving your comment.
1) It’s their natural habitat. 2) They have beneficial affects on the ecosystem. You sound ignorant with your response.
Because they keep prey populations in check
@krnpowr Their nautral habitat is Northern Canada. These arent the same wolves that use to be in CO.
Dude you sound even more ignorant without doing any research yourself @krnpowr
Attn liberals plenty of camping space available in Colorado!
The poor things look all doped up. I hope they survive the ignorance of humanity out there.
if they are in my scope they wont
This species of Wolf is not native to this area. They are larger and more aggressive than the Lobo native species.
FACT CHECK: Although technically the Canadian Wolf may not have been one of the 2 primary subspecies in Colorado, the differences between them is nominal, and there is even evidence to support the historic range of the Canadian grey reaching as far as the southern Rockies. They share an almost exact genealogy, preferred prey, habitat, hunting methods, and yes size. The Southern Rocky Mountain wolf ranged in size and was thought to be in some cases as big as the Canadian if not bigger. At the end of the day, they are both grey wolves. Professors from the University of Colorado have even been quoted calling the sub species argument as missing the point.
@@Reed411 the County they released them in opposed it by a 2/3 Margain , Just Democrats being 🤡s as usual, City Dwellers destroying everything is part for the course
Yes they are. This subspecies (Canis lupus nubilus) is native to both Oregon, and Colorado, and is the only species currently living in Oregon.
@@Leon_Tacitus_LLR Never Actually Proven, These Are Timberwolves , The Scientist they asked was also one who supported this idea, many many did not
They are native
These are not the original wolves of this land. They die where they walk.
they so pretty, and should be left alone, they are not bothering anyone unless you bother them that is a known fact they are scared and will run. let them alone.
You are completely incorrect. They very much bother and affect Oregon cattle ranchers
They are not fearful animals at all, but they’re also not a threat to people if you respect them
That was the end of the huntable game populations of Elk, Deer and Moose. Check with Wyoming, Idaho and Montana and see how it’s working out for them, all the prey species populations will crash.
I am sorry you feel that way. People who are uneducated are a real issue in today’s society.
@charrisepierson2161 Trucking trapped wolves from far north Canada, very much a natural occurance here.
@@charrisepierson2161, education is irrelevant, do your research about how the game animal populations were/are affected by the re-introduction of apex predators. Your self proclaimed education smacks of indoctrination and ignorance, have you ever spent any time in wild places? Petting Zoo maybe?
well your huntable game population ill be unaffected by 5 wolves i think its far more likely the wolves will die by human hands rather than thrive and affect the ecosystem in any tangeable way anytime soon….as a hunter i feel ya but the ability to hunt all elk easily has little to no bearing on the sucess of willife. . if you are a true sportsman ….you would know ecosystems need predators in order to promote a healthy food chain.. without predators the elk and other grazing species would decimate the edible landscape and cause certain doom for future elk populations
@tblcville 5 wolves turns into a lot more. Theres already bears, cats, yotes, ect. If wolves can be hunted then thats a start, but I dont know if itll happen for CO and that is the problem. Also, there is literally no such thing as a balanced ecosystem. Mumbo jumbo made up by academia.

@@scottleggejrbecause the cities have the highest populations ?
Absolutely disgusting! Many years of wildlife management and conservation gone to waist. Colorado had the best mlue deer and elk heards in the country. Those day will be gone soon
The answer is simple, if the general population of people in a 3 or 4 county area want wolves then so be it, if not i don’t want some do gooder that lives in Denver, Boulder, or San Francisco making decisions for people that live in a rural area of Colorado.
Get used to it, it’s how the state has been and will continue to be unfortunately. Denver and Boulder outrule the rest of the state. Although I have no problem with the wolves personally. We also already have them, I experienced one in the wild here about 15 years ago. It’s not like this a new thing, it just got politicized more this time thanks to clowns like Lauren Bobert. Let’s hope the cattle ranchers get proper compensation if they lose livestock, Denver only exists because of cattle ranching in the first place

Crying wolf tears. Colorado overrun by elk, introduced moose, etc. to the point of unhealthy vegetation.
If your going to introduce wolfs, at least make preperations so the cattle farmers can have some form of protection agents them. Otherwize history will just repeat it’s self and they are going to shoot them anyways.
Say good buy to the deer and elk population if the wolves even survive . Why did they have to get canadian wolves ??? Apparently they didnt learn or watch what happrn when wymoning tried this. Not smart
