It seems that Zionist settlers and right wing government in Israel want to remove all Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza via extreme force – even genocide if needed. As the Palestinians are Amalek who the IDF need to do Cherem to.
If terrorism is the act of terrifying innocent civilians through indiscriminate violence towards them, leading to a state of fear/terror amongst civilians, that would mean Hamas are terrorist and the IDF are even bigger terrorist.
Also, if you justify IDF actions via self-defense and they are the occupation force enforcing a blocked over gaza for over 15 years. This would mean it could be argued Hamas actions are always self defence from the IDF occupation force.
If you justify IDF regular and random arrest of innocent civilians in Gaza and the West Bank would that then not mean you could justify Hamas taking soilders prisoner and even maybe civilians prisoner like the IDF. The IDF have killed more Palestinians and imprisoned more innocent civilians than Hamas have killed innocent Israelis or imprisoned innocent Israeli.
You can not condem one without condemning the other. If the condemnation should be equal is the real question. Both are terrorist and both are not acting in accordance to their religious books when they kill innocent civilians.
Bottom line if you condemn Hamas you must condemn the IDF more simply because they have killed more innocent civilians before and after October 7th and they have imprisoned more innocent civilians before and after October 7th therefore they have inflicted more terror on Palestinians than Hamas have inflicted upon Israelis.
If you support IDF based on self defence then Hamas also have a right to be supported for self defence. In fact they would have more right for support since the blockade is upon them, they are not the occupiers, more of their people (Palestinians) have been killed and imprisoned.
Some questions to think over:
Q) If Israel has a right to defend it self do the Palestinians have the right to defend themselves from 75 years of Occupation, Settler Violence and Unjustified Imprisonment and Thousands of Civilian deaths?
Q) If Israel are allowed to use armed self defence are Palestinians also allowed to use armed self defense against Occupation etc?
Q) If IDF have committed war crimes on Palestinians over 75 years and broken numerous international laws but are still not terrorist (they are simply defenders of Israelites who have sometimes made mistakes). Can it not be argued that Hamas are not Terrorist but are Resistance Fighters defending their people who have sometimes made mistakes (killing innocent Israeli civilians) over several years?
Q) Hamas can be condemned for killing innocent Israelis and so can Israel. But if Israel are allowed to kill Hamas soldiers are Hamas also allowed to kill Israeli soldiers who kill innocent civilians?
Q) If Israel are allowed to forcibly arrested and hold innocent Palestinians for as long as they like are Hamas also allowed to hold innocent Israelis as prisoners for as long as they like?
Q) If the Israeli Government do not want a two state solution and prefer one Jewish state but are still supported by the West. Are Hamas also allowed to want a one state solution (Hamas view – a state in which Muslim Palestinians are in charge but Jews and Christians can live their)?
Q) If Hamas land is being Occupied by IDF who has more legitimacy to fight? Israeli Occupiers or Hamas Defenders?

Occupation is when military control by a ruling power over a territory that is outside of that power’s sovereign territory.
So after 2005, Israel still had control over Gaza, which is Palestinian land, which is an occupation. Although it is true, soldiers and settlers moved out of Gaza. But the soldiers set up a buffer zone in Gaza, so they took some of the territory of Gaza, which is also similar to Occupation illegally taking another’s territory to set up a buffer zone. The zone could have been set up on the Israeli side (Israels’ territory).
Furthermore, they are under the most intensive 24-hour surveillance by Israel, drones, camers, facial recognition scans, etc. This type of action is in line with an occupation because no sovereign power has its citizens watched 24 hours a day by a foreign power. Plus no sovereign power would allow this when they also have no access to the surveillance data, no say in the type of surveillance, how much is collected, when it is collected, what it is used for, who is the information shared with and how much information is shared etc.
Moreover following the withdrawal, Israel continued to maintain direct control over Gaza’s air and maritime space, six of Gaza’s seven land crossings, maintains a no-go buffer zone within the territory (as I stated above already), controls the Palestinian population registry, and Gaza remains dependent on Israel for its water, electricity, telecommunications, and other utilities. All of this adds more weight to the fact that they are still occupied.
I think you would agree they are certainly not free even if you think they are not occupied.
