Polish farmers block border, demand talk with leaders over low grain prices and unfair competition from Ukraine. Frustration continues to grow as farmers protest in over 180 locations, using their tractors and trucks to disrupt traffic and dump grain from Ukraine leaving it to spoil. The farmers are demanding that Prime Minister Donald Tusk and EU leaders address the issue of unfair competition from Ukrainian imports, which they say is crushing their business.

The EU doesn’t allow Poland to export it. Supposedly (I can’t confirm if this is true) most of the grain is owned by big German and Belgian corporations. Funny, they insisted for a year that they wanted to send the grain to Africa, to help starving people….but instead, they leave it in Poland, crushing the Polish economy.

As a Ukrainian, while this is a sad situation, you speak with sense. The EU promised for a long time that this grain was to feed poor starving people in Africa. Instead, they leave it in Poland to break the Polish economy. I see it as a power play; a way for Germany, which considers Poland a rival and is angry that Poland has refused mass migration/cultural transformation, to punish Poland while masking its actions in the guise of helping Ukraine.

I am Polish. It is not about prices. That transport of grain is illegal. It is smugling with no documents. Grain in Ukraine is grown with the use of banned chemicals in Europe. Grain is being transported in open containers subject to rotting and mould which is toxic.
Polish farmers stand for healthy food and againt smugling. European huge companies bought Ukraine years ago to exploit its rich soil and puppet zelensky is somebody who allowed it wearing high heels and dancing to bidens tune.
Polish farmers defend the interests of their homeland, the authorities only care about their own.

Polish farmers do not fight with farmers from Ukraine, because there are no such farmers there. There are holding companies in Ukraine, agricultural concerns that have their companies and money on foreign accounts. This money is not going back to Ukraine. they have a grudge against Poles for protesting and they themselves are not aware of what is happening in their country. There is still corruption and an oligarchy that preys on ordinary citizens.
These companies bring to Poland massive amounts of rotten grain, corn, rapeseed, fruit… etc.
