China’s President has defended Beijing’s governing of Hong Kong since the handover from Britain 25 years ago.
Xi Jinping made the comments at the swearing-in ceremony of the territory’s new leader.
It was Xi’s first trip outside of mainland China since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
