Aaron Bushnell was pronounced dead at Metropolitan Hospital in D.C. at 8:06 pm EST by Dr. Hui Zheng that same day of his protest outside the Isreali Embassy on Sunday 25th February 2024.

He wrote his last message on Facebook: “Many of us like to ask ourselves, ‘What would I do if I was alive during slavery? Or the Jim Crow South? Or apartheid? What would I do if my country was committing genocide?’ The answer is, you’re doing it. Right now.”
Before setting himself on fire, he said he would “no longer be complicit in genocide” and that he was “about to engage in an extreme act of protest.” He continued what he would endure is nothing close to what Palestinian people had been going thru. And that he rejected the new standard the ruling class had set as normal.
As he was broadcasting his message to the world, he was also calmly marching towards martyrdom with a firm mission showing determination and courage. He seemed resolute and incredibly showed no signs of apprehension.
After setting himself on f., he yelled “free Palestine” repeatedly 5 times while grasping for breath in between chants, he held his ground standing and standing, like a pillar of strength, with a mind made of steel and displaying his defiance and determination what he believed in, he was a true comrade, stood and stood without even trying to get down and put out the flames….. stood, and kept chanting ….”Free Palestine…..”
…….until he no longer could and melted to the ground still on fire…. just horrific that I can never never forget ever ever…
