Investigators reportedly believe a flight attendant may have accidentally hit a switch that moves the pilot’s seat forward, possibly pushing the pilot into the controls and forcing the nose of the plane down. NBC News’ Tom Costello reports.

#Pilot #Plane #AirTravel
Probably the pilot passed out temporarily 😴
The panel falling off mid flight is so funny to me with all of Boeings problems recently. I can only imagine how pissrf they are right now
So they are just going to lie.
I hope the passengers are not treated like the whistleblower
😆
is this what the whistle blower had been reporting ?
What did the black box showed????
I do not care about what Boeing has to say!
And if that switch can be so easily activated by someone other than the pilot, who’s design fault would that be 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️😬😬
I see Boeing is into gaslighting the public, amongst others things.🤔
Worst airlines, This is even worse than spirit I think this is the new cheapest cheap
The airline, or the company that makes the plane?
Another DEI triumph
What does DEI have to do with this?
I’m sorry your republicans handlers have shoveled baseless talking points about DEI into your head. After all, you had no idea what it was 3 years ago.
But, then, you’re the person who literally used the racist dog whistle of “13%,” so it’s clear you have nothing populating the empty space between your ears.
The pilot already said he lost all of his instruments.
You got that right! Let’s not lose the narrative.
Not true. A random passenger said the pilot said that. Why would the pilot tell that to a random passenger? I think the passenger lied.
@@SpcT0rres I think the pilot was in shock.
I think the pilot/s were trying to join the mile high club with the stewardess.
The passenger said that…
If this happens to me I am never flying again
It’s Boeing. A message to the pilots of these planes. Next time, just bring your own canned tuna and soda crackers.
Nudge, nudge.
only fly airbus
They’ve been having engine issues and hydraulics issues lately… BECAUSE ALL AIRPLANES AREN’T 100% perfect.
This is prolly MCAS. Imagine not taking ownership and blaming a flight attendant who’s prolly doing their job for years.
If its Boeing, I’m NOT going.
MCAS is not on this Aircraft Model.
MCAS is not in the 787.
A bad year for Boeing
This is DEI at its scariest 😂
Don’t worry we investigated ourselves.
My god….yall going through planes like copy paper at this point
Oh, this reminds me that I need to cancel my flight.
Yes this is a ridiculous story, but I bet you the people that were seated with their seatbelts fastened were fine.
Don’t walk around like it’s your living room and keep your seatbelt fastened at ALL times. Pretty simple.
That’s not what the pilot told a passenger. He said the instruments shut down and seconds later restarted. I think the plane was hacked and the airline doesn’t want that come out.🤔
The pilot never confirmed he told that person anything. That person is lying for attention. More likely the pilot told the investigators what happened.
@@SpcT0rres You don’t know that for sure. Watch the video of the passenger. He seems very truthful in his statement. So you going to believe what the airline says. You’re completely lost. Lol
@@SuperMogul Passengers say a lot of things… Most of it not true because they don’t know what they’re talking about. I’m an airline pilot. I had passengers freak out over the flaps coming down.
@@erauprcwa Your not a pilot, stop lying. You weren’t there so you don’t know.
@@SuperMogul You’re* and I don’t have to prove anything to you. The investigators have given their conclusions and it shows the passengers were wrong.
🤷
Can’t we hear any good news for a change. Looks like it’s time to Buy Stocks in Amtrac Trains 🚆😬.
Nope… Don’t believe it… The plane would have been on autopilot… And if the seat would have went forward the pilot would not have pushed the nose down… If he did you would just barely feel it as the autopilot corrected……
I call BS as you know the auto pilot was on!!!!
Most mechanical components that move a seat forward, in cars at least, move pretty slowly.
Why would you design an easily accessible switch that propels the pilot’s seat forward with enough force to throw them into their instrument panels? That’s pretty fast. Sounds bizarre.
I was just going to say the same thing. Those seats move forward and aft at about the speed of a turtle. And how does the stewardess get anywhere near those switches? Maybe it wasn’t a meal she was delivering.
Sound like someone is Lying 🤥
The media has been reporting this latest news so incorrectly it hurts. We have video evidence of the switch fault because this has been a known issue by Bloeing as far back as 2017. If the switch is loose, simply closing the cover can cause the seat switch to activate (no one even has to lean on it). That’s an important distinction to make because it makes it sound like they leaned on the switch. They may have leaned on the cover, which is supposed to protect the switch, and activated the switch. Boeing sent out a memo that they knew it was a problem in 2017 but never had a solution to fix it. Now they’re sending airlines instructions on how to manually deactivate the switch.
That stewardess was definitely in the cockpit, but it wasn’t a meal she was delivering.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Coffee, Tea, or ME???
😅😅😅
Boeing has made United trash. United’s fleet is mostly Boeings and i try to stay away from Boeings.
Yo, Boeing is breaking apart
Boeing is falling apart
I know Boeing I’d getting a lot of crap and it is deserved but the regulators need to check these airlines for their maintenance practices. These planes are too old to blame manufacturing.
Boeing..made in USA 🇺🇸.
So they nosed dived and lost contact for an hour?
I blame BLM
Bs. The pilots already said what happened and someone murdered a witness to protect Boeing.
Jesus!
Are they F@king in the cockpit?
I don’t believe it.
Boeing again!
Bad aircraft design.
It looks like the marketing team from Boeing imposes these novelties.
It’s an airline issue, not Boeing…
@@erauprcwa Boeing designs these airplanes.
@@dubsar and the airline maintains them. So, how is Boeing at fault?
@@erauprcwa Boeing designed something that could go wrong.
@@dubsar There’s an AD out about it, been there for awhile…
💩 happens!
WOW All these were Boeing planes. Flying used to be so safe and lately all we hear are Boeing horrible mishaps. Yes sure blame the flight attendant to hide the fact that the pilot instruments went blank before this happened. Boeing is willing to murder whistleblowers to hide all their horrible crimes. NO MORE FLYING Boeing. #BoycotBoeing The only way they will build better planes if hurts their pockets.
What actually happened: The copilot was in another part of the plane taking a break, leaving the flight attendant and pilot to work on getting points in the Mile High Club.
.. just can’t get right.
Boeing – guilty until proven innocent
That’s why I don’t fly! I didn’t come here with wings! 😂 If I could fly, I would fly away from here and never return! 🙄🤦🏽♀️
I can’t just imagine the way Boeing will feel
Man listen this mess is out of control.
The pilots were getting it on in the cockpit and bumped the controls
Another Boeing mishap after another.
Boeing has their planes in more than 150 countries, it seems like this is the scariest era to take a flight
Not suspicious P.R. at all. Boeing is “probably correct”, naturally. The pilot was clearly (lol) the issue. Obviously. Undoubtedly. For certain. 🙄
What about the safety door to the bridge your supposed to keep that door closed the entire time not open for lunch breaks go to the bathroom open for bible studies nothing keep the door closed for the entire flight you want lunch it’s either bring with you to the bridge or just simply wait till you land
It was a fly by wire mishap, China chip makers are flexing their mussel over this tic tok stuff,
Boeing has no credibility in any explanation/excuse they provide. Surprisingly they blame it on the flight crew.
I’m calling bs on this.
Sounds like a reasonable explanation. In fact I’m sure I’ve seen this exact thing happen, in a Jerry Lewis movie. Roger and out , Jake E.
Boeing now blames FLIGHT ATTENDANT for mishaps.😳🤔
“Flight attendant might have done something…” my mind is telling me Boeing is looking for damage control. Now days it’s a PR disaster for the airline. Pilot said other things happened now flight attendant is the scapegoat. 😢😅😂 My question is; Why are all these planes mishaps happening almost at the same time with different airline companies?
boeing has become a sum total of compromises
_Can’t sue the company if its the fault of the fired employee, right?_
Again and Again, stupid pilots and stewardesses inside cockpit (Only God knows what were actually doing ???) committed stupid mistakes…. then they tried to hide the truth and blamed Boeing!! If true, these people should bear criminal liability !
Again poorly managed Airline like UA should retire the OLD plane… OMG 28 years old overused plane !!!
Another boing Boeing
Get on a plane they said it’s safe they said 😮😮
Boeing has a major problem with these planes and are grasping for straws.
Bs excuse from Boeing! Plenty of planes of this type outthere and this happened only once??? I don’t believe a word they say these days.
He did not commit suicide.
why would anyone believe what Boeing has to say on the matter?
😂😂😂😂😂 ridiculous
Have to believe Boeing 😂
I believe what the Pilot says about the Computer blackout .. Do you still believe what Boeing said about the “Switches” caused by the Flight Attendant? How convenient !
Well I have gone nearly 23 years of my life of never flying on a plane and I think maybe I will wait a little longer before flying on one.
Planes are great, just fly airbus
What a load of colossal hogwash ! Imagine a critical switch laying in the fixed path of a sliding pilot seat……
This right here is why I’ll never get on a plane. I would rather take a month walk across the country than fly for a minute. Not mention these airlines packing you in like sardines, charging for everything, and got the nerve to overbook the flight, hoping people just won’t come
If its boeing, i ain’t going.
retiring elsewhere huh everyone,
Haha! It’s a mishap when the pilot does it.
A federal crime when it’s a passenger.
Real news Tyson’s foods after massive layoffs is getting ready to hire 52,000 illegal immigrants boycott boycott boycott boycott thank you Joe Biden
Flight attendant might having been giving the pilots something else 😉
First thing Boeing do is blame the crew, just like after the first 737 Max crash. We’re fool if we believe anything come out of Boeing.
I love it
Memory should stay inside computer not come outside😂
When u book your flight, you need to check which airplane they use. DO NOT FLY BOEING. it shows so many number of fatalities, accidents, and injuries they have for the past years. Avoid this plane at all costs.
Looks like the pilots are lying.
Kids: because we’re all investigating this thing WHICH ALREADY HAPPENED, there’s a specific way that we say things about it. Maybe the flight attendant had a strange [platonic] relationship with the pilot, and intentionally hit the switch to move the pilot’s seat forward as if “sparring with him”: we just don’t know.
Boeing should recommend airlines scrape their Boeing planes.
Boy, they will really blame it on literally anyone but themselves … now, the poor flight attendant was at fault. What a bunch of BS.
Boeing again😂😂
Good that those sloppy Boeing engineers didn’t accidentally put an ejection seat in there…
Now they are blaming every bad design on those who have to endure it. Well, they already were doing it before, just not with that comical note…
Hopefully, From now on, hopefully many, many, many more people will finally believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and finally be saved and have everlasting life. Amen. Love.
Disney has a new
thrill ride. It’s called
The Boeing Flight.
I don’t think the seat buttons “accidentally” activated at all. I think there were TWO people in one of the seats at the point when the autopilot cutout due to excessive forces on the yoke from one of their bodies. How? There are several scenarios that are plausible and I will leave them up to your imagination. I don’t think it’s a Boeing fault at all.
How is Boeing not banned from manufacturing commercial airliners by now?
Good Lord! Over the ocean, and if I was on that flight, oh I would’ve had a heart attack, because I don’t know how to swim.
Imagine if the plane would’ve nose dived into the ocean with no ĺife jackets on, and water pressure keeping you locked inside the plane. Horrible feeling.
Yes lets blame the flight attendant because they need an escape goat. Total BS for sure.
What’s this button do ?
Mouse from low to high… Smell it!!!!!
Hhmmmm
That is a very interesting theory…….a FOOOOOOD theory
