In 2023, China sold new cars nearly 30 million, almost US + EU + JP, big enough for Chinese brand cars.

US is not as big a market. China car market is TWICE the size of USA. Middle income is expanding rapidly in ASEAN, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, East Europe/Russia…going to be great markets for many Chinese firms. G7 importance is grossly overblown, now only 27% of global economy and declining.
BYD has no plans to the US so far
I hope BYD stays out of US market. Cheap, low quality Chinese EV’s will severely damage the US auto industry
hahahaha, US failure autoindustrysay byd is *low quality*
US lost its auto industry decades ago to JP and European cars. It’s ridiculous it claims BYD threaten US auto market.
😂😂😂 BYD threatens the US National security.. not the auto market. Haven’t you been listening to the politicians?

Don’t argue with them, as we all know, the national security of the United States is a fragile thing, even a balloon can pose a great threat

I think the importance of the US market is overestimated.
In fact, up to now, China’s automobiles have hardly been sold in the United States, but this would not prevent China from becoming the largest automobile exporter in 2023.
There are still many countries in the world willing to buy China cars, while China Car Factory is trying to satisfy consumers.

The only result of trade protection is to make the protected enterprises lazy and obese.
Well, what can I say, there are a good number of people in the US think the world would grind to a halt completely without the US. Thank God, there are also a good number of level-headed, rational, mature people in the US think cooperation is the only way out.
Most Americans think Global Majority are poor with very little disposable income.
Unfortunately, these folks are the minorities in US.
SAIC, BYD, Geely, Tesla are all gonna make it after this it is a 🎲roll.
Tesla is going down!
Biden’s another “ national security threat “, ban it!
Did this guy say there’s only going to be 1 or 2 EV makers surviving in China? There’s over 50 today. Besides BYD and Geely, the state owned makers like SAIC, BAIC and GAC are all going to survive. Xiaomi not going to make it in EVs. VW probably going to buy Xpeng and Stellantis buying Li Auto. They not pulling out of China auto market.
Just leave the US behind and let it isolate itself. They’re only hurting their own advancement with the rest of the world.

The quality of the us vehicles is so bad that even the us consumers are reluctant to buy those cars.
How about ford or chevrolet?
american market is not even as big as chinese market. i mean china car market is like twice of the size of american.. not to mention BYD popularity in SEA is rising exponentially now. LMAO.. if i’m a chinese car maker, i would avoid american market for now.
BYD has no plans to the US
the US EV car makers are weak, Chinese car makers can easily beat them and make money, i suppose
US Market is sizable, but just that, nothing that important. So beat it.
Please note BYD has no plans to the US don’t worry
US market is indeed sizable. So have fun fighting over it American, Japanese, and Korean carmakers after you all get squeezed out of the even more sizable Chinese market in the next 5 to 10 years and then at the same time lose SE Asia, Latin America, Middle East, and Oceanian market to the Chinese as well. I’m sure the 15 million annual sales in US and Canada will split nicely 7 ways between GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Hyundai-Kia.
There’s too many Ev players in CHINA, many will be forced out of the market as prices fall. BYD will be one of them left standing, Besides USA & EU markets, BYD can penetrate other markets with their competitive price and good quality products. If Elon Mask is worried that goes to show BYD will be the next dominant EV car maker.
Forcing someone to love you is impossible and will never end well, true love cannot be coerced, why our carsmakers have to engage US market? they will end up with being crackdown by the US govt globally though, and Winnie the Pooh he can’t save you though
It is US always force others to love their everything, but this time they are going to lose big to the Chinese!
@@bzhu3233 nope the truth is everything is the US are cool while our country is opposite.
@@kenyup7936 nah your wrong , china is the cool one , and our country are the opposite
China should look for import substitution (US goods and services) alternatives. Buying from friendly countries. National security and fair consideration.
The US isn’t open to competition for EV’S. They’re fear mongering about China & Chinese EV’S. The US has an anti China house commitee and a Chinese financial containment strategy, Also the IRA goes after the Chinese dominance of batteries by not allowing Chinese materials to be sourced from regions other than North America.. So basically bites consumers in the ass because the only hope from an American getting an affordable EV is from China.. They already have a dominant EV battery industry.. By comparison the US only has a small amount of battery infrastructure and is behind the Chinese in a massive way. The Inflation Reduction Act, needs to be renamed to the Inflation Act because the cost of new battery infrastructure to be built will have those costs passed down the line.. Right to the consumers, The Inflation Act!! The North American market needs competition to give the consumers the best products at the best prices.. Will make a stronger sector, a gaurded or protected sector by rules or policies deemed being anti competative will hurt not help the sector.. The Chinese EV market is more open than the US EV market so the Chinese are staying away. Elon & Tesla must be delighted along with Rivian, Lucid, Ford , & GM!!
I can see a world where BYD takes market share in entry and mid market segments because of their hardware integration. China still need to build that reliability that Korean or Japanese automaker were able to build as a reputation.
In a wider view, In perspectives EV sales are taking a dive because they haven’t beaten the price competitive advantage of ICE cars. It’s going to take a while a while before EV represents the dominant market shares.
EV sales are not taking a dive, they are just not growing as fast as previously expected — but are still growing.
And in China EVs are already pretty evenly matched with ICE cars in price in most segments, and should match ICE car prices in the rest of the market within the next 12 months (or even become cheaper). It’s why BYD is predicting that NEV (read: BEV+PHEV) market share in China should surpass 50% within the next 3 months.
US have always competed and won. This isolation approach is disgusting and will only put US behind.
BYD Factories in Salvador Bahia Brasil, Thailand, Hungary EU, Mexico, South Africa, They are building Factories Over the World. Ford VW are Closing Factories over the World.

As Elon said China already won the EV race. The ones left standing after the consolidation will most likely be BYD, Hauwei, Li Auto and Geely. As for Xiaomi it will depend on whether it can survie the next 2 yrs.

Even Warren Buffet invested either 1 or 10 billion dollars in BYD.

GM/Ford/Chrysler will be finished in China if BYD is not allowed to enter the US market.
I mean Chrysler is already finished in China, and I don’t see Ford surviving the next 5, or maybe even 3 years. GM still has some residual brand loyalty, as well as a nice stake in Wuling which is electrifying nicely, but overall the American car makers are getting squeezed out of the Chinese market no matter what happens. Might as well shut the Chinese out of the US market because that will shorty be all Detroit 3 has left. They are already out of Europe and Oceania, and is in the process of getting squeezed out of China, SE Asia, and Latin America.
US becomes India😂
Everyday, the US gets more and more isolated from the rest of the world. lol
The major markets are, China (which is cut throat), USA which is likely to tariff and EU which is likely to tariff. What’s left? mostly small but can grow. Maybe India but they are corrupt will protect their market at the drop of a hat.
Automotive market is transitioning to EVs at the moment. India’s EV transition is so behind it might as well be nonexistent currently. Will be probably 10 years before it even becomes anywhere near relevant in the EV space.
No need to enter US market.
The question is can US force all 190 countries’ consumers and government to say no good value and quality Chinese cars.
Boycott USA and Tesla
Tesla is OK Half the world’s Teslas are made in Shanghai.
USA and Eu garden think they are the whole world

“The world is flat,” but only when the West is winning.
BYD won’t recover.
The US government will do anything to protect American corporations at the expense of their electorates. This is another proof that USA is a plutocracy rather than a democracy. All benefits of the nation will go to the very top. Class struggle and civil war may possibly be on the horizon.
With BRI, the world will be really democratized. No single country can consider itself so important and indispensable. No country or small group of countries will be able to bully and sanction other nations.
The US is a shithole only liked by its lapdogs. The rest of the world is way bigger and freer
What if China closes all US car makers and their affiliates. What then? The US makers can’t compete with the Chines makers around the world now rather than then. So the US is going to close its doors and let China take over the world?
So many people posting from China. If the goal is to bring China up, don’t spread hate, you increase resistance. I don’t see Americans posting in Chinese about why Facebook and Google banned in China.
USA is broke & rely on printing money to survive, China should avoid the US market & sell products to other countries who can affort them. Any loans to USA at the end will become worthless. Don’t waste time.
Staying away from the US market is not a bad thing for BYD, or any Chinese auto maker as it means staying away from trouble.
