The downtown streets of Austin Texas was very eerily quiet! Lots of people but hardly any motorists! That’s unusual!
We were not in totality here (central Illinois) but still in that precious 96%. We’d already picked a small local park and still had a wonderful view. And mother nature gave us an added bonus of spotting a bald eagle cruising just on the edge of the park a few minutes before the eclipse started. That was magic.

The abortion issue has always been an EXTREMELY emotional one. People are passionate on both sides to the point of violence. Sometimes, it is even a litmus test for candidates.
The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade (1973) because it IMPLIED A RIGHT TO ABORTION AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL.
The Court did NOT outlaw abortions, which are still legal in about half of the states.
Anything done at the Federal level about abortion will be unconstitutional and struck down by the Court.
Biden’s position on abortion is merely political rhetoric to rope in uninformed suckers.
This is a terrible basis for choosing a candidate. We are more affected by ALL other issues (The Southern border, the economy, gasoline prices, food prices, crime rates, etc.).

I was completely unimpressed with the eclipse. It did nothing at all. You could still see the moon. And I was in the 89 percent path. The problem is that the interest rates the government is allowing the student lenders to charge is just too high. Back when I was in college, student loan rates were 2%. Now they’re 6, 6.8, etc. Compounding the rates makes it almost impossible to repay because the interest climbs so fast. Absolutely crazy!
Nevertheless, just like any loan (such as my long-ago 10-1/2% mortgage), the borrower accepts the repayment conditions along with the loan and payments are due as agreed.

My husband put our Chihuahua in his kennel cage. During yhe eclipse he went nuts. Growling n hitting the cage, howling and running in circles (hes in a cage a german Shepard can fit in cuz i wanted him have lots of room) he was hitting the cage hard n ive never seen him snarling like that either just vicious. I told my husband when he got in from work. We decided to keep the dog in the cage over night and most if next day. Let things settle down. He was hyper when he got out n then he was puking.
My husband works outside. The last three days hes just been mean n bad attitude and just hateful. Snapping at everything like i say theres a cold coke in fridge for you and he just went off. Hes been agitated like cant sit still. I was harsh to him yesterday told him i wasnt putting up with the attitude and i pulled off my sandal— he quit real quick. This morning he appologize said he didn’t know what happened.
