The bears are not the invaders!
Soooo …. you STILL treat Illegal Immigrants better than the BEARS who were there WAY before humans
I would ask if bear hunting is allowed there. Also don’t blame it on the drought. We’ve just had two winters of good rain and snow. That means that last year we had good plant growth all spring summer and fall so the bears had good berries to eat and their prey also had adequate food. So their prey multiplied. Bears got more berries and prey to eat and bears flourished and multiplied. More bears out there after winter hibernation looking for food. I agree that when we are in a second, third, or fourth year of drought which is our normal pattern in CA we see more wildlife come into developed areas. I live in the San Joaquin Valley and in drought years we see more mt lions come down into suburban areas in the valley. We are mostly orchards here with lots of ground squirrels, gophers, and some rabbits. I can’t speak to the wildfire influence but if they had them nearby last summer I could see that might have affected the bear’s food source adversely.
Go Bears!!!
Lol
That’s exactly how the animals felt when they built those houses there. Where do you expect the animals to go? And what are they going to eat, now that you’ve killed off the smaller animals and the vegetation they used to live off?
Either the bears or the suburbanites need to go to LA.
Either way, it’s a win.
This isn’t an invasion. 100 years ago, the neighboring mountain called “Bear Mountain” had the highest concentration of black bears in all of North America. Early 1900s Barnum and Bailey Circus sourced their circus bears from this area. Grizzley bears were hunted to extinction in the area 100 years ago as well. This isn’t a “problem”. This is natural populations rising back to natural levels.
The question should be who moved into who’s neighborhood?
Easy fix. Rangers need to plant berry bushes, and other edibles native to their diets, on state trust land and inside national forests, far from trails and campgrounds.
DERP!!
people are invading the homes of wild life…if they get eaten by bears and wolves and mountain lions, they have only themselves to blame for putting themselves in the lions den.
Don’t feed bears and lock up your garbage.
Well, there’s a bear on the states flag for a reason 🐻
This is what happens when humans encroach on their territory.
“Bear Patrol ” was a Simpsons episode. Again they predicted the future.
Who are the real invaders?
Maybe the geniuses in California shouldn’t have blown up that river taking away a food source. But hey what do I know.
The invasion is at the southern border.
Bears had a good draft this year i will not be surprised if they go to super bowl this year
How cute sweet and pathetic
Poor scruffs
He looks like bear food not enforcement. Maybe he can pet them for us.
CORRECTION…The Bears are facing a human invasion
There’s not enough to go around.
Better than living in nyc
They are looking for the furry kids.
The bears heard they wouldn’t be prosecuted for breaking and entering or theft.
People have moved into their habitat.
The audacity to call the bears the invaders.
The bears are being pushed out of their own habitats. They have nowhere else to go. I certainly don’t want anyone hurt; but none of this is really the bears’ fault.
Don’t you understand you live in bear country you are the intruder get it in your head, just go, this is were this animals live they are not going anywhere at least you decided to take them to your house in Santa Monica.
They just came out of hibernation, they are hungry and looking for food. Someone needs to stop feeding them.
For crying out loud, the bears are coming out of hibernation and looking for food which nature will not provide in abundance for weeks. They have better noses than a bloodhound and can smell that there is food inside the homes. The only way to reduce this problem is to reduce the bear population per sq mile to where it needs to be.
Rich people problems, I’d like to see them ride the subway late at night after shift work.
I will bet you $1000 these idiots are feeding them
You have your home in the wilderness and then wonder why you’re having bears in your yard
Correction: Homeowners built their home 🏡 in a wildlife habitat. Bears are in their territory, called home.
No. WE invaded THEIR territory. These people moved to the mountains and the bears were there first. Don’t like living around bears? Don’t live in the mountains. Simple as that. Humans really need to start respecting nature and animals more.
That is scary, if a community is not used to Bears it is easy for them to forget when going out at dusk, dawn or middle of the night to do something as simple as put out the trash, take a little dog out for a yard brake, whatever. The dude pointing a gun at the bear on his porch is not necessary, you can point it in the air in a safe way and pop off a round and the bear will high-tail it out as fast as it can run, just don’t corner them in a place they cannot escape easily, give them room and path to flee.
Many women treat bears and coyotes as if they were domestic pets. They think they’re being kind to the wildlife but they are training wild animals to not be afraid of humans, which increases animal/human incidents, which leads to animals being euthanized.
But a lot of the women have been to university so they won’t listen to reason. So animals die needlessly.
all these morons who don’t know how the land got cleared to build their HOA or “city” are so hilarious
If it comes down to bears or people, I’m with the bears
Don’t feed the bears and other wildlife !!!
1:25 Not wandering away from their natural habitat – they’re looking around at all the buildings and wondering WHERE the heck did their habitat go?!? That and wildfires; flooding; drought… 🤷♀️ Stay vigilant.
The bears can’t have no land. Get tf out they home . Moving to the ocean and mad you see fish.
There hungry
Bears face human invasion, fixed it.
Well that California community invaded the bears’ home. They invaded it and stole it!
How stupid is the news? They are looking for food. They have to keep all food sources away from them. Garbage cans and dog food left outside are some of the problems. The people habituating the animals should be evicted or sued for their damage.
No, ‘California town facing HUMAN invasion!!!’ Total entitled human bs!
You built your house in their back yard. Learn to coexist.
the bears are smarter than californians
🐻
Their homes burned, where else are they going to go??
umm you decided to live in a bear’s habitat.
Bears want their land back.
More like bears facing a California town invasion.
Because humans keep invading the wild habitat .
Humans are the problem, not nature…
They were here first, they are not the invaders.
People have to remember these woods and Hills belongs to the nature animals.!. People invaded their homes.!.
To the bears, humans are the invaders.
Too many people
Perhaps y’all should have been aware of who’s neighborhood you built in. Bears have Tennant rights
Sounds like the invasion is the other way around
Funny. You are in their natural habitat. Bears are a lot like humans. Plus they lived there first. Humans took the water, and the nice areas with the most food. Think positive. At least they are not dinosaurs.
Is the bear invading or are the ppl invading?
Let the hunt begin
The homeowners should just grin and bear it. 🐻
Stop just Stop the bears were there first you moved into their backyards so you want them to move … Gentrification by bears 😂
Bears didn’t wonder away from their natural habitat, The People Did!
Have a watering hole and a feeding place outside of town and they will stay away from peoples homes. We have a raccoon problem. We dont throw food away in the garbage and have a slop bucket we empty in the woods to keep them from coming in the yard and going through the garbage. Maybe the town should invest in bear proof garbage cans for their residents and have an area for local shops to dump expiring food there to keep them from wandering into town.
Bill and fine the bear feeders for all the damage and stress they have caused the town. The town needs to take action before someone gets killed.
Bears have done no wrong being invited in.
do bears get squatters rights?
Elwyn Lopez is a hottie!
Over The Hedge in real life
Conservation, responsible fur bearing, and hunting. Thins the population and instills fear of man.
Which is legal in California. This is residential area so it’s not safe or legal to hunt. Hazing would be best along with bear-proofing homes/garbage and enforcing existing laws against feeding.
Bears Territory being invaded by Humans. really that’s what title should read
Wow bear-city
Wait til they hear how many MEN are roaming their town 😮
We are invading them by building in their habitat. Its absolutely gut wrenching. I hate humans.
Time for some bearskin rugs.
Another Illegal alien story?
You are more likely to be bitten by the family dog. The people have become the ‘illegal immigrants’.
Go bears ef entitled Californians
How are the bears the problem? You are taking away their land and this is what happens!
Poor bears, having to deal with all these people.
Hey, I know: let’s buy a beautiful piece of wilderness, cut down trees, and build a house. Then complain when the inhabitants come knockin’!
Unbearable!
Hoomans invaded wildife territory, smh
I think humans invaded bear country with lots of food
they want food they want swim lol , JESUS SAVES, FOR WHOSEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALLBE SAVED, ROMANS 1013
These people are in there territory the nerve
I’ve lived around black bears before up in Tahoe. The simple truth is you need to 1) bear-proof your home 2) bear-proof the trash cans and dumpsters 3) give them as wide a berth you can. Also, they tend to avoid dogs, so a four legged friend might help.
The bears aren’t invading. The humans invaded their home! What did they think would happen? 😅
Bears: We have a human invasion. 😂🤣😂🤣
After the great war, bears, wolves, mountain lions, etc will take over all American cities.
Los humanos hemos invadido su hábitat y destruido los bosques y han perdido sus derechos x culpa de los humanos 🐻❄️🐼🐻🦊🐧🐦🦆🫎🦭🦍🦏🦛🦓🦈🦣🐅🐿️🐪🐫🦒🐘🐏🦌🐐🦙🦤🦩🦜🦫🦡🦨🦝🦦🦧🦧🦧🦧🐳🐋🐢
Californias anti hunting regulations have created a surplus of bears. Bears are delicious.
when you live in their literal home you’re bound to see them
Let them in.
Bears would be like well you invaded us first.
