The Chinese are wise to work with Russia: they are next in line for an attack from the US. The US will ‘provoke’ a conflict and then say they are fighting for democracy. What does Beijing got out of this relationship? A lot. Have you looked at the map. If America continues rachet up the economic war, or hot war in the foreseeable future, China would have to rely on Russia for trade routes and commodities. Katrina Yu is very wrong in saying that China wants to subvert the U.S led order. Rather China wants to make the rules more fair and balance. Something that most countries want since right now the system is indeed rigged towards the U.S and EU. The same thing is being done by India and S.Jaishankur has repeatedly mentioned this these last few years about the world being better in a multipolar setting.
