brother i am in a construction business and trading business and both are slow but steady, in 2008 we were so dried up tht evening making 500 aed was a huge deal, i run a company for construction and our monthly expense are in millions, yet we r growing and i see a better future, people are just paranoid now thats all
They’re paranoid as you say but for good reason:all the wealth there’s dried up people are downsizing businesses living hand to mouth all over( with upto 30 people in some places to a room) lots of enterprises are out of whack altogether and the regime has tried to extract money from the poor like hit up a fine for crossing the streets etc

Dubai is becoming a Ghost Town, malls are mostly empty , many Restaurants are closing down , majority of apartments are less than 40% occupied. Bad policies implemented by the government has made UAE less attractive. Everything is hugely expensive, in the coming 3 to 4 years there is going to be a crisis.
Nattapolv Vich I was a business man in Dubai , and was there for 25 years first 10 years was okay, then they started ripping the expatriates off , introducing higher rents , Visa charges, removed all medical facilities to expatriates, Increased Gasoline prices, everything started to become so expensive we ended up just paying salaries, rent , utility bills, expensive food bills, and so I quit and went back home and started business back home and it is now flourishing, Dubai is a sinking ship. No business means no jobs , no jobs mean empty malls , empty apartments , empty restaurants and so on. Now with 5% vat ,
DUBAI is digging it’s own grave , soon and alternative for OIL is going to come up and these guys will be back on their Camels.
