A lot of people in China seem to have no sense of risk. They will do things that no westerner would dream of doing. Ive seen it thousands of times. Ive even seen a couple out on the finance centre tower roof in shanghai at level 94 having photos taken in wind and rain, while the woman was wearing a big traditional style white western wedding dress – and just to be clear they werent in a viewing area, they were literally climbing on part of the roof (I was inside the level 97 viewing area). I guarantee those guys are out there because nobody – not them and not their supervisors – thought it was risky.

Ive sat in the park at the Beijing opera house/national performance centre and watched the guys walking all over that roof while wondering how they dont fall off. I suspect a lot of people sit in that park just to see if anyone is actually going to fall off that roof. The people that clean the outsides of major buildings in Beijing are nuts. Does this video surprise me? Not in the slightest.
