Malaysia can benefit from its non-alignment with either the U.S. or China, as both of those countries need a neutral country for production or export, said Trinh Nguyen, a senior economist at Natixis.
Malaysia should also look at establishing trade agreements with the EU, which is looking to diversify its supply chains with a neutral party, she added.
