quality time>more days off
sure but…how is this even possible to be seperate things? a day off is a day off. pick to do whatever you want with it. its not like a European day off is somehow different from an American day off
Whatever helps you cope, OP
Employers in the USA have a lot of power and this is mercilessly exploited to put their employees under pressure to 1. work more whenever they want, 2. give them little time to recover, and all this without pay. In the event of illness, this is also deducted from vacation.
This is pure exploitation and enslavement of the employees.
In Europe there are massive labor protection laws and rights that do not exist in the USA.
The oppression of employees continues here.
Entitlement is the new plague
European here. I dont need to take vacations that often because my life isnt my job already.
It’s about work life balance. Possibly there is a greater risk of burn out if you don’t take vacations. In some countries, I believe employers have to enforce time off for staff to reduce burn out rate.
