27-year-old Nga Wai Hono i te Po was chosen and anointed as the new Maori queen as her father, the late king, was laid to rest in a traditional ceremony in New Zealand.

I didn’t know that new Zealand was monarchy
Well they technically are because they swear to serve the British crown. But as the video said this queen doesn’t have a legal mandate to New Zealand but she is important for the Maori people nevertheless
@@user-id2tt9oy9l You really should look into that, I think you’ll find you’re off the mark when it comes to ‘serving the British crown’. There is a difference between being part of the Commonwealth, which NZ and Australia are, and being part of the United Kingdom.
They have their own culture and ways that must never be interfered with again.
The Maori know what’s best for them and will govern and look after themselves. ❤💫
i love this for her – let’s go māori queen
It’s amazing how maori survived the genocide against them by British.
Only few of them survived just like in the case of Australian aboriginals native Americans Amerindians
“Few” didn’t survive. In many Latin American countries, indigenous people still hadn’t been surpassed by Europeans. The biggest threat to them is cultural genocide. @Native_soul321
@@Native_soul321You know nothing lol
@@Native_soul321 the horrors native Australian faced are the worst horrors a human can face.
@@Native_soul321″Only few of them survived” lmao something you rednecks would say huh 😂
Love to see indigenous cultures thrive especially after being plundered by European colonisers.
Once again, minority survivors of a g cide by european colonizers
I’d love to see her arm wrestle King Charles lol
King Charles is really not long for this world though, sadly they’re preparing for his death i think
His sausage fingers will pop🤣
@@MalitoSC come on man guy has cancer be respectful
@@emirefe5452 no, why would I be respectful to a monarchy??
@@MalitoSC because he is a person who is suffering? it shouldn’t matter what his position is for you to have basic human sympathy towards him
Lovey ceremonial services for death in general and her crowning.
My condolences to the Maori people over the passing of their king.
real life moana ❤
this is a total joke no power no point no political influence there is no NZ monarchy just a small
bunch of people pretending they run under different law 80% of NZ has never heard of king Tutu and 90% dont care who this lady is either
Condoglianze al popolo Maori

What century are we living in ? Embarrassing
But bet you are not embarassed of israel doing genocide in palestine.
Men running around poking their tongues out wearing nappies, how much more ridiculous can it get, it’s primitive
Genuinely, the only embarrassing thing here is your comment and lack of cultural awareness, and common decency.
Which community do you come from?
Who _raised_ the likes of you?
you are embarrassing to all the people who cannot accept my and many others culture. The Maori thrive and share with strong traditions and customs that you are to embarrassed to accept.
😂😂😂 you mind is living in stone ages.. what’s wrong with you….seesh
Its abit of a joke? Until people stop looking at each other a one race and hes another there will always befriction. This maori king is a recent fabrication. How about i elect my self as king ofmy bedroom. Its made rubbish probably funded by tax payers.
