Tens of thousands of people in Pakistan have had to move inland as seawater encroaches on the land and underground water.
It is largely due to rising sea levels, and there are warnings the country could have two million climate migrants by 2050.

@Dark Love Building the dam provides control over water supply as well. It can be used to stop flooding and yet release water in sufficient quantities so there is stable and safe supply downstream throughout the year.
A dam us not just for hoarding/storing water but also for water supply control and power generation.

Punjab had been unfair in the distribution of water although 70% of revenue is generated from Sindh, 72 % of gas and 55 % of petroleum are distributed equally among the province bur when it comes up to water than upstream (Punjab) is using more although as per principal the lower stream should have more water to avoid seawater grab the land. the classic example is if you see the map of Egypt from google earth, the land is more fertile near to the sea.
