I, as an Israeli citizen remember it very well, the Palestinians could have their first ever state beside of Israel, Egypt and Jordan as a lasting peace agreement. Israel signed peace in 1979 with Egypt and in 1995 with Jordan and signed Abraham accords with many Arab states, as sons of Abraham. But the Palestinians know one thing, if they sign peace agreement with Israel, suddenly theyll face the reality… that they are not that special, that no one care about them too much… we all know that they only have this recognition for being against the people of the book. Its always about the Jews and not about them. Thats why they didnt choose peace, because what that make them ‘special’ is the confrontation with the Sons of Israel… without that confrontation what will define them as a nation?
