For the third straight week, thousands gathered outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence, demanding he resign.
There is frustration over the government’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak, as well as the corruption charges Netanyahu faces.

As a Circassian Muslim living in Israel and who is also very critical of current Israeli government, I can tell you’re so misinformed about the conflict here.
The modern state of Israel was largely built on land purchased by Jews back in 20th century and many of the landlords were happy to sell them so technically the land wasn’t stolen or anything. I’ve lived in west bank and yes, there are clashes between IDF and Palestinian youths quite frequently but it’s not as lethal as you may think. As for “Genocide”, well, Palestinian population in Israel and Israeli controlled territories has grown from 1 million in 1948 to roughly 5 million (excluding Gaza) now so evidently there’s no “genocide”. It’s not a valid term because as someone said above, it only cheapens the suffering and pain of people who actually suffered “Genocide”.

My family great grandparents and grandparents during the war in Europe helped Jewish people as best they could escape the horror of the Germans in the Netherlands. Secondly I make this point for people to think, COVID19 has impinged on peoples ability to be free and safe, the freedom you take for granted has not been afforded to Palestinian people, Israelis are protesting not having freedom yet Israel acts as an apartheid state determined to harm Palestinians since 1948 and here today you are protesting because you feel threatened that you don’t have your liberties. So think of the Palestinian people that Israel has oppressed. Israel and the Palestinians need to have a peaceful and I stress peaceful transition not to a 2 state solution but a 2 country solution. If there is ever a time to think about how your neighbour is feeling now is the time. I don’t wish anything bad to Israel but I hope Israelis reflect and change for the better.
@EH I’m neither Jewish nor Israeli. I’m American, and my fellow countrymen are protesting the killing of George Floyd and other black men who’ve had their life taken by police. In regards to Israel & Palestine, I’m against the stealing of Arabs homes and continued annexation of land by the Israeli government. However, the 2-state solution (or “2-country solution) is not a viable option, nor has it been for awhile now. If you look at the most recent maps of the West Bank, the Israeli settlements are scattered sporadically, many of them in non-contiguous areas. The only potential options are a 1-state (which Hamas and the PNA are vehemently against), forced expatriation (which will only be viable if the oil-rich Gulf Arab monarchies of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, etc. allow refugees, which they absolutely do not), or genocide (I don’t think I need to elaborate why this shouldn’t even be considered).

A people that gave the world Albert Einstein if they wanted genuinely in their hearts could redefine the map and have a 2 country solution which would mean israeli settlements that were created specifically to ensure their isn’t a 2 country solution could be removed. If you can build it you can remove it for the greater good.
