On the 200th day of the war, Ukraine announced its troops reclaimed more than 1,100 square miles from the Russians, liberating more settlements in the east. Ukraine is on the offensive and is quickly gaining ground. They reclaimed the largest wealth of Russian-controlled territory since April when the Ukrainian military pushed the Russian forces out of the outskirts of Kyiv. President Zelenskyy said Ukraine has liberated at least 30 settlements and reclaimed nearly 1,000 square miles of land around Kharkiv, including the town of Izium, a strategically important railway hub. The Queen’s death brought the brothers and wives back together for the first time in years. Prince Williams had extended the invitation to Harry. More than four days after Eliza Fletcher vanished, police found her body roughly half a mile from where court documents say her alleged killer tried covering up his crimes. In court this morning, the suspect faced multiple charges including especially aggravated kidnapping. Mississippi’s governor issued a state of emergency to residents as they brace for more flood waters. The Pearl River is expected to crest at 35 and a half feet overnight near downtown Jackson. The flooding is adding to the water still on the ground in Mississippi after days of excessive rainfall. Embattled Uvalde school district police chief Pete Arredondo has been fired after outcry over the handling of the Robb Elementary mass shooting. Arredondo had been on administrative leave after the massacre that left 19 children and two teachers dead. In Central Mississippi, a desperate evacuation is underway as flood waters rush in. So far, there have been over 100 rescues across parts of the state. Intense flooding is causing cars, homes and even entire neighborhoods to be underwater.
