Exclusive: On the front line with South Sudan rebels

More than 100,000 people have been displaced from the usually calm county of Kajo Keji in South Sudan. The area is now militarised and split between government troops and rebel fighters. The government has been fighting the rebels since 2013 when the ethnic war first started, two years into the country’s independence from Sudan. Sierra Leone: Efforts to preserve slave trade history

A national organisation in Sierra Leone is looking to raise funds and awareness to preserve what was once the country’s biggest slave trade port. The station on Bunce Island was set up 350 years ago to ship thousands of Africans to the Americas.
