A national organisation in Sierra Leone is looking to raise funds and awareness to preserve what was once the country’s biggest slave trade port.
The station on Bunce Island was set up 350 years ago to ship thousands of Africans to the Americas.

It was the arrival of the Europeans who boomed the slave industry in Africa. They created a demand and a mean. By tempting chieftains with European luxuries and introducing firearms to those willing.

This is how people don’t understand Africa as a continent. Yes Africans sold Africans and sometimes their own and this helped breed and entrench murderous white supremacy world wide. I think there’s reason to believe that there have been several displacements. There are those who are mixed with Native American ancestry, those who came after the abolishment of slaverly and married with the children of the Native American/(European)/Africans, Caribbeans on the other side..
I think those who are called African Americans or Black Americans are kinda of a different version of Brazilians. Like they’ve such a mixed ancestry among different groups of Africans/Caribbeans etc. Then we’re also dealing with the stories that have been are extremely one-sided, every Black American isn’t the result of slavery.

Very informative very interesting part of our history
Are they telling you how “Indians” was brought there from the americas and then sold off to elsewhere. Did they tell you that Sierra Leone was not called Sierra Leone in the beginning and how free black and brown Americans was sent there ? The same was done with Liberia. They are us and we are them. Been coming back and forth for thousands of years.
