There has been a fire exchange at the Israel-Lebanon border, with the Israeli army saying that “several” civilians were injured in an antitank missile attack launched from Lebanon. The army said it responded by shooting at the source of the fire. Skirmishes between Israeli forces and Shia group Hezbollah along the border have been ongoing since the start of the Gaza war on October 7. The situation inside hospitals across the Gaza strip is a tragedy, said Toby Fricker, UNICEF’s spokesperson. Speaking to Al Jazeera from Amman, Jordan, he noted how premature babies inside al-Shifa Hospital are struggling to stay alive due to the lack of electricity, power and water. “Imagine being a father or mother of those children and sort of watching helplessly.
