Rescuers are searching for many people missing amid devastating flooding across Kenya. The Ministry of Interior and National Administration said on Tuesday that a search operation had been launched following the bursting of a dam in Mai Mahiu in the centre of the country the previous day. The Kenyan government says the death toll from a month of flooding has reached at least 169 people. Thousands of people are displaced and many others missing. Kenya dam collapse: Dozens killed in town north of Nairobi

At least 40 people have been killed after a dam burst its banks in a town north of the Kenyan capital Nairobi. Water from the Old Kajiabo Dam washed away houses and cut off a major road.
