Russia closes access through Kerch Strait for six months

There is more tension between Russia and Ukraine, this time at sea. Russia has closed all naval access to the Kerch Strait. Ukraine said the closure is illegal and violates a treaty. Moscow has said its forces are conducting military drills in the Strait, following the mobilisation of tens of thousands of Russian troops on the Ukraine border in recent weeks. 53 sailors presumed dead after sunken Indonesia submarine debris found

Indonesian authorities have confirmed a submarine that went missing with 53 people on board has sunk. Crews found debris from the KRI Nanggala 402 near the coast of Bali, and authorities say it is evidence that the vessel cracked. They believe the submarine could be 850 metres below the ocean surface, making the search effort more difficult and dangerous.
