At least 22 young people were found dead at a nightclub under mysterious circumstances in a township in South Africa’s southern city of East London. Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana said on Sunday police were alerted by members of the public to the incident at Scenery Park. “The circumstances under which they died are under investigation,” Kinana said, adding it was too early to determine the cause of death of the young adults aged between 18 and 20 years. Several explosions were heard in the Shevchenkivskiy district of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said on the Telegram messaging app. There was no immediate information on the cause of the explosions. “Ambulance crews and rescuers dispatched to the scene,” Klitschko said. “There are people under the rubble. Some residents were evacuated, two victims were hospitalized,” he added. Bangladesh has officially opened its longest bridge, linking the capital, Dhaka, and the southwest. Extreme drought conditions in Mexico are causing an historic water shortage in the state of Nuevo Leon. Reservoirs and rivers that supply water to some 5.3 million people in the Mexican city of Monterrey are about to run dry. The state governor says people are experiencing an “extreme climate crisis”. More than half of Mexico is currently facing moderate to severe drought conditions, according to CONAGUA, Mexico’s National Water Commission.
