More than 120 missiles fired at Ukraine: Presidential adviser

A new wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine has left at least three people injured in the capital Kyiv, the city’s mayor has said. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak says more than 120 missiles had been fired at Ukraine. “We’re waiting for further proposals from ‘peacekeepers’ about (a) ‘peaceful settlement,’” he wrote on Twitter, referring to Russia’s calls for a solution to the war Moscow started with an invasion on February 24. “For the moment, there are three wounded in Kyiv, including a 14-year-old girl. Tears, prayers as flights resume to Ethiopia’s Tigray region

Ethnic Serbs erect more roadblocks as tensions soar in Kosovo

Local ethnic Serbs have erected more roadblocks in northern Kosovo and defied demands to remove barriers put in place earlier, a day after Serbia put its troops near the border on a high level of combat readiness. The new barriers, formed with loaded trucks, were installed in the early hours of Tuesday in the town of Mitrovica. Ukrainian drone wreckage kills three Russians at military base

Three Russian military personnel have been killed from the debris of a Ukrainian drone that was shot down and fell on a military base deep inside Russia, the country’s defence ministry has said. “On December 26, at about 01:35 Moscow time, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down at low altitude while approaching the Engels military airfield in the Saratov region,” the Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday.
