Three Russian military personnel have been killed from the debris of a Ukrainian drone that was shot down and fell on a military base deep inside Russia, the country’s defence ministry has said.
“On December 26, at about 01:35 Moscow time, a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down at low altitude while approaching the Engels military airfield in the Saratov region,” the Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday.
In Ukraine’s daily military update, the army reports that Russia fired five missiles and “more than 40” rockets on Sunday.
“In the Kherson direction, the opponent continues artillery shelling of settlements along the right bank of the Dnipro River,” it said.

Russian parliament member & top member of Putin’s political party “United Russia” said, “Poland should be in “first place” in the queue for de-nazification after Ukraine.”
Staunch Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrav has announced it would only take him 6 seconds to wipe out Poland, & that it is next after Ukraine.
Polish major general Jaroslaw Gromadzinski was quoted in 2-24-22 is clearly worried about Poland being the next target in Putin’s grand plan. “It’s a terrible time for Poand & we must show more that we are ready and that we’re prepared to defend our territory.”
In the late 18th century Poland was divided into “Partitions of Poland”, & much Poland’s land was taken by the Russian Empire. In fact for most of the history of the Russian Empire, eastern Poland was held by Russia.
Clearly Putin & his cronies have had every intention of invading Poland in addition to other eastern Europe countries – that is before Ukraine turned tables on him.
Russia has been given more than its fair share of chances to prove that it could be a major presence in the world’s economy and trade. Nukes are mainly meant as a deterrent. Now that so many countries have nukes, it’s really a one shot deal if you use them because many more will come back at you in an instant. Everyone knows this, and that’s why it’s mostly a bluff that people only pretend to take seriously. Besides, tactical nukes would be used first, and those would be lmited. The whole idea of vaporizing a foreign country while you stand atop the rubble untouched, is pure fantasy. Russia keeps threatening nukes because it’s losing. It’s desperate. It never expected NATO to be this invested, or to have this kind of resolve, and there’s no answer for it. There was no plan B.

It was a Soviet made jet drone laced with explosives as in previous case . Russians shot it down. Debris crashed into a building where a maintenance team was stationed. Three military personnel were killed. No equipment was damaged in the attack.
That debris sure looks dangerous when looking at surveillance footage. One has to wonder what would happen if the drones hit successful.
