US, NATO investigating reports of Russian missiles in Poland

Poland has said what was probably a “Russian-made missile” fell on a village in the country’s east killing two people, but that there was “no concrete evidence” on who had fired it, as its NATO allies prepared to hold an emergency meeting to discuss the strike. Ukraine war: 2 Explosions heard in Kyiv, air raid warnings follow

At least two explosions were heard in Kyiv on Tuesday and smoke could be seen rising over the city. According to Reuters, the blasts followed air raid warnings across Ukraine hours after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy delivered a video address to leaders of the Group of 20 nations who are meeting in Bali. Turkiye: Funerals held for Istanbul attack victims

Funerals have been held in Istanbul for some of the victims of Sunday’s bombing. Turkish police have arrested 46 people. The explosion killed six people and injured dozens more. Relatives and Turkish officials are attending the ceremonies, as the city remains on high alert. Police have detained 47 individuals together with a Syrian girl suspected of planting the bomb. DR Congo: Kenyan peacekeepers arrive in North Kivu

Kenyan soldiers have landed in the city of Goma in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), as part of a regional peacekeeping mission to the region. Their arrival on Saturday comes as the M23 rebel group has surged across the DRC’s North Kivu province, capturing swaths of territory and inflaming regional tensions.
