China government health adviser warns of surging COVID cases

China covid-19 restrictions: Protests turn violent in Guangzhou

Two major cities in China – Guangzhou and Chongqing – have eased COVID-19 restrictions. It comes a day after violent protests – as frustration mounts against the government’s strict zero-COVID policy.
