North Korea has fired two suspected ballistic missiles, Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide said on Thursday. The missiles were launched from South Hamgyong Province into the sea off Japan’s eastern coast. The US Pacific Command says this shows Pyongyang is a threat to its neighbours. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has addressed an unusual predawn military parade held in Pyongyang to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of its governing Workers’ Party on Saturday, according to footage aired on state television. Seoul has urged North Korea to abandon plans to send anti-South Korean leaflets across their shared border.
