At least 375 people in the Philippines have died after Typhoon Rai struck, hitting 195 km/h at its peak. It left at least 500 injured and more than 55 people are missing. ‘Desperate’ need for water, food in typhoon-hit Philippines

Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes in the Philippines as “one of the world’s strongest storms” of the year made landfall in mid-eastern parts of the island nation.
