Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes in the Philippines as “one of the world’s strongest storms” of the year made landfall in mid-eastern parts of the island nation.
The Philippine’s weather bureau, PAGASA, said Typhoon Rai made its first landfall in Surigao del Norte’s Siargao Island at 05:30 GMT on Thursday.

Philippines is a very corrupt country. Politicians and their leaders are busy filling up their pockets with public funds. The problem is nobody cares about the corruption! If only the public funds were used appropriately, they could have used it to build tenements (like in China) for the poor instead of letting them live in shanties which are easily blown away by strong winds.
I can think of nothing more satisfying… than a group of human traffickers returning to their village… and realizing it doesn’t exist anymore…. Maybe you should have been moving your parents in those boats… not refugees to Europe…
