At least 24 people have been injured and two Russian navy ships engulfed in flames following a Ukrainian missile attack on a shipyard in Sevastopol in Russian-occupied Crimea, authorities said. Sevastopol’s Russia-installed governor, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said on the Telegram messaging app that Ukraine carried out the missile attack in the early hours of Wednesday, and Russian air defences attempted to repel the incoming projectiles. Ukraine launched drones against targets in six Russian regions, including an attack on an airport in the western city of Pskov – located near the borders of Latvia and Estonia – where military transport aircraft were reportedly damaged amid explosions and a massive fire. Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is laid to rest at a private funeral near St Petersburg, Russia, a week after he died in a plane crash, according to his press service. His press service said Prigozhin was buried in a private ceremony outside his home city of St Petersburg. The Kremlin said President Vladimir Putin would not attend the funeral of his former ally. Services were also held for other leaders of the mercenary group who the Kremlin says were killed a plane crash last Wednesday. A private plane has crashed in Moscow’s Tver region, killing all 10 people on board. Russia news agency TASS reports that Wagner mercenary group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin was among those on board. “A private Embraer Legacy aircraft travelling from Moscow to Saint Petersburg crashed near the village of Kuzhenkino in the Tver Region.
